Default Interesting...

Remember when Pietrus punched the ball/volleyballed the ball to save it from going out out bounds in the 3rd?

Quote:
NBA.COM
A player shall not kick the ball or strike it with the fist.
b. Kicking the ball or striking it with any part of the leg is a violation when it is an intentional act. The ball accidentally striking the foot, the leg or fist is not a violation.
PENALTY:
(1) If the violation is by the offense, the ball is awarded to the opposing team at the sideline nearest the spot of the violation but no nearer to the base-line than the free throw line extended.
(2) If the violation is by the defense while the ball is in play, the offensive team retains possession of the ball at the sideline nearest the spot of the violation but no nearer the baseline than the foul line extended.
ANd there was no call...and our coaches didn't point it out to the officials.....Makes you kind of think..

Never knew that either. I cant believe it has never happened in the past that one of the coaches didnt have a reminder shake in their heads.

well just shows how dumb our coaches are. Nelson definitely knew and was happy playing against a door knob.

First of all, how did Nelson know? Second of all where did this happen? Wasn't it 50 feet away? How the hell are they supposed to see that?

I knew you cannot punch the ball, but I think it's only when there are people around the ball, he was out of the court when he punched the ball and no more players were there, so maybe it was a good no call.
