Only on this forum does getting probably the most sought after FA this year mean bad news lol.
Once we get into a half court set.. teams can sag off of Marion and double Bosh/Bargs because Marion can't shoot for crap. I do hope we can keep delfino as an SG in the corner instead of Derozan to knock down his open 3. Now tell me... which team in the league can single cover all of Bargs/Bosh/Turk?? It's basically pick your poison now. And it's great news for raps fans, and the Raptors are making some media buzz (more ticket sales). All good things. I agree 100% with your post Rasam. |

Hedo will be a very fine signing.
For sure the contract looks big, but I am sure there are team options there to get out of it. I still think that Delfino will be a Rap next year but I think you will see Marion going to Orlando in a S&T with filler on our end to match up salaries(Banks/Hump maybe Reddick on their end) |

It's going to be much harder to double Bosh now with Hedo available to either catch and shoot or break the defense down off the dribble.
He'll definitely open up the offense for our other 3 big starters. I just hope we get a nice defensive 2 man, though, I think Derozan will progess far more than most think. I think BC has a feeling that DD will contribute right away... |

They played get the ball out of Kobes hands defence, and Nelson was the idiot that didnt get up on Fisher at halfcourt so he would be uncomfortable bringing it up. SVG played it fine, Nelson just had a historic brainfart.

You are going to see a much larger roll from Bargs this season.
I think you are going to see alot of P&R's between Hedo and Bargs with Bosh crashing the boards.(put to use his bulking up). Triano and BC sain they want a team to get up and down the floor-that is something far outside of Bosh's strength. |

I agree with most of your post here, Rasami. The only problem is that I think you're underrating Anthony Parker. His work ethic was terrific, he came to play every night and even though he was inconsistent offensively, he played some good man-to-man defense while the rest of the team was standing around like pylons. Every night, it was his task to take care of the best SG/SF on the other team and that's not much of an easy task so give him some credit. He was a good spirit and he really enjoyed playing and living in Toronto so him leaving is a bigger loss then you think it is. But I agree with the majority of your post, everybody is quick to panic in Raptor Nation and having a guy like Turkoglu choose Toronto over an American squad really raises eyebrows around the league which means we're finally getting noticed again.
![]() I'm only hesitant about the length of the contract but that's to worry about in the future. For now, Raptor fans should embrace the acquisition of a new point forward (FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!). |

I'm pretty much with you Rasam. My only hesitancy comes from the fact that they had gotten their defense down pretty good with Marion. And then the emphasis all off-season thus far was about improving upon that further. Now I don't know if this signing plays out along those lines. I don't know that it doesn't either either. I'm just a little hesitant, and I hope that Hedo can be used in similar ways to Marion on the defensive end. When I see that happen I will over the moon. But after last season, I need to see it and not just hope to see it.

Sure Hedo is no Marion, but he has no problem pushing the ball up the court after turnovers or rebounds. I've seen him creat plenty of transition points for Orlando this year...He definitely likes those high risk passes that Calderon doesn't really attempt...If we can get a decent, athletic 2 man who can slash and play D I think we'll do just fine on the fast break. |
