![]() Just reading Doug Smith's blog this morning and he answered a question pertaining to Milwaukee and that they'll some tweaking to their roster there this summer. Doug suggested that BC call and find about Redd and his availability.
What do you guys think? Yay or Nay to Redd as a Raptor? ![]() Quote:

![]() No, simply because I don't think he's worth his contract, but of course I could be wrong. He does slash, but it isn't his first instinct. His instinct is usually to shoot and right now I'm sick of guys on the perimeter. I want a guy who can create for himself. I just don't think Redd does that often enough to warrant a trade for him. Is there any possible way we can clone Rip Hamilton?

![]() While you are on the subject of Rip_H, the residual affect of a guy that moves without the ball is all the movement and confusion for the defense. It gets other players open too.
As opposed to planting two guys in the corners like the Raps do year after year. I think AP could be our Rip Hammy. |

![]() "Could" being the operative word. AP is definitely no Rip Hamilton and considering his age, if anything now AP's game will gradually start on the decline soon enought. Parker will be a nice body to come off the bench for us next season and probably for another couple assuming he'll re-sign after next year. But, we're kidding ourselves if we think there more room for improvement and growth for Parker. Not going to happen. He's at his peak as we speak which isn't bad thing. Just not Rip worthy.

![]() I'd trade either of TJ or Jose in a deal for Redd in a second. We need that crazy scoring machine for late game situations... and talk about someone that could spread the floor for Bosh..Redd is that person.

![]() I'd do the deal for Redd. Redd is an explosive scorer, and as we've seen, we need another scorer on the floor. I think we could move AP to the 3.
Problem is, it would mean sending a boatload of guys their way. Let's see. Rasho + Garbo + Kapono + Graham for Redd and Gadzuric. Garbo, Graham and Rasho all end after next season for Milwaukee. We get a big man in Gadzuric and a shooter in Redd. Perfect. |

![]() wasnt kapono supposed to spread the floor for the raptors? guess not. i seriously think we need a guy like crawford on our team. he can play the 2 guard, while jose plays the one, and he can spell jose at the one and run the point for us with AP coming off the bench.

We've killed TJ over the last couple weeks... With Redd on our team, they might have to shut down RealGM. |

![]() Redds a very very good player when surrounded with a good supporting cast and a coach that wont give the players on his team the green light to shoot everything and have no responsibility on D. Up to this year Redd has been a very solid 2nd option type player, and hes a very good guy off the court from everything Ive read. You put him on any good team and it makes them a notch better at least. Hes very underrated because of this year and having to carry the load and having no responsibility out there. When hes just coming off screens and doing it that way hes one of the hardest guys in the league to stop. He was very clutch the years before this one.
Problem is if you get him for Jose you HAVE to get a shutdown type SF to compliment him because him and AP arent gonna get it done with the perimeter D. Itd be great having a guy that can score in late game situations o nthe perimeter finally though. Whats his contract like? |
