Default If you want Delfino back - Tomorrow is the day

BC Khimki vs Lietuvos Rytas

It's Eurocup's final (12PM ET)

When Delfino signed with Khimki his big challange was taking this team to Euroleague, the biggest competition in Europe (the team who wins the Eurocup goes tho Euroleague). He and his team have been waiting for this Final 8 since the beggining of the season.

Friday, they beat Valencia for a semi Final Spot. Delfino had 12 points in 19 minutes (including an insane 3 from downtown to take the lead with 1 minute remaining)
Some minutes ago they beat Bilbao for a place in the final game. Delfino erupted for 18 points (6/9 in FGs, 4/6 from deep and 2/2 from the foul line) in 20 minutes! He ended the game with a strong lay up with 34 secs to go in the 4th.

If he wins the Eurocup he won't be back to the NBA. He will play the Euroleague, where he's already a superstar. On his drives he was doubled today.
But if Khimki loses the game he probably won't play this cup another year. He'll be back to the NBA.

So if you like Delfino plz help me cheering against Khimki for Carlos to be back next season. He's trouncing everybody in Europe!

I also like Delfino, however only if the price is right and we cannot find another 2 who can start for us.He can split with Parker if we cannot fill the #2 spot.

Don't get too excited about Delfino being a superstar in Europe. We had Solomon who had better numbers then Delfino. Also Parker was a superstar over there and he also had better numbers. He will be a good addition coming off the bench, once again only if the price is right.

I'd rather bring Delfino back and not re-sign AP. And then fill the starting SG position through either trade/FA/MLE + Draft a youg SG or Combo guard.

Why the hell can't he get excited, it ain't like we need to compare him toi Solomon, the dude was in the NBA, hell, HE WAS ON THE RAPS!

We know what he can do, thats why a lot of people want him, he's good.

The thing is not about numbers. It's about hitting the bigger shots, leading a team that also have Garbajosa, Macje Lampe and other great players.
In the last 5 minutes in both games Delfino was not feeling it. He was on fire

When I talked about the superstar, I should post the video. Your team is down by one, your teammates give you the ball with 5 on the shot clock with one minute to go and he nailed a 26 footer...
Today he got the ball with 30 ticks to go and overcame a double team inside to lay it in. Everybody have eyes on him. He'll be THE GUY tomorrow

And BTW he's not even close to be in shape. He stayed 45 days stopped becuase of a shoulder injury and this was the 3rd game he played since that

Come back Delfino

When Solomon won the Eurocup in 2004, the MVP was Kelly McCarty

Today he was a role player scoring off Delfino's moves

All I am saying is don't get all excited about what Delfino is doing in Europe. When someone is saying that he is trouncing everyone in Europe thats great but Europe is not the NBA. Delfino is not the answer for us at the #2 spot. Hell I would take him back in a heart beat to come off the bench, my concern is at what cost. No question that Parker and Delfino can split their minutes at the #2 spot.

God you're absolutely right

Parker's already 34 and his game is already decllining a lot
Carlos is 26 and he's a star prone. He has talent. Playing with Marion, Bargs and Bosh on the run... He'll have plenty of shot opportunities!
He can score on one-on-one situations also. Parker is not fast enough fot that nowadays

Actually he is not doing well in Russia. That team is a failure. I do really like Delfino though. I hope he comes and becomes our 6th/7th man.

I remember now - you've got the big man-crush going on for Delfino. Any time he came up in a thread for any reason you'd be talking about how good looking he is.

That said, bring him back. He's not the answer, but he'd be great coming off the bench. If it comes at the expense of Anthony Parker, at this point I'd have no problem with that.

He wins - He's a top 5 player in Europe playing the bigger league (Euroleague)
He loses - Frustation of staying in a 2nd level league
