Hollinger bases everything off stats. He put Shareef as Chris' greatest comparable because his stats are extremely similar to Bosh's.

And we all know that stats tell the whole story.

It's almost like you have no memory of Shareef at all. The guy was a pretty big star in his time.

If Bosh hits 5 jumpers from outside of 10 feet, that's one third of his points on the jumper, with the rest (66%) coming from inside and from the line. Sounds about right, doesn't it?
He needs that jumper to be falling to get inside though Jay. That's the whole point. He hits 3 or 4 of those and getting to the rim gets easy. But when that shot isn't falling, it's not that easy to just say, "get to the net Chris". He's not Amare or Paul Millsap. He's not built like a mack truck, he's build like a crane. He's got to attack from overtop, not crash through the defense.

He was shooting horrible tonight, and like always when he shoots horrible, the fans complain that he wasn't going to the rim enough.

It's not a coincidence that when he hits 4 or 5 jumpshots early he puts up big numbers in the paint and when his outside shot is struggling, he stuggles in the paint.

The inside game relies on that jumpshot. You can deny it all you want, but that's the way it is. It's the way it will be.

The next time Bosh stuggles with his shot, it will be dejavu. Everyone will be bitching that he doesn't take it to the rim enough.

That's not who Bosh is.

Well for both of them they didn't, they were empty stats. That's the point.

dude, tell us something we don't know.
almost everybody on here knows that this team needs better wing players.
and why talk about Bosh's strength and weaknesses? hes not the problem, hes the best player on the team and he does get into the paint. players just foul him, can't stop him or bring the double to him.

Very true...the point that we are even talking about Bosh right now shows how disillusioned we are. He's not even close to being a problem for the Raptors and without him in the lineup, things would be an absoulte disaster.

I think the only disillusioned people are the ones who don't want to accept that Bosh just may not be all he's cracked up to be. I went through the same period of denial at first, too.

I just think that we are far too hard on him when he's our best player, that's all.

The fact that he's the best player with the most responsibility is exactly the reason to be hard on him.

The NBA is a star-centered league, and he routinely comes out poorly in matchups with other stars. It's a major problem.

Okay, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, because I just don't see Bosh's play as a "major problem." I would put about 10 other things ahead of that.

Alright, hittin' the sack man. Good posting.

I don't think KG scores all that much inside anymore himself, even with what he has around him.

The fact that people are ripping Bosh for not going to the rim enough after he goes to the line 13 times is laughable. What about the REST of the damn team????

bjjs is absolutely right. If players are resigned to make Bosh a shooter by giving him room what is he going to do? NOT take the open shot? Should he just run headlong into the D ala TJ or Bargs?

Give your head a shake people.
