If we were to trade Bargnani, what would be a realistic trade scenario? - Page 15

A lot of writers have suggested a Bargnani for Gasol trade. I hope the Lakers really get desperate so we can try to dump Fields on them. Fields did have his best season with Dantoni.

Bargnani, Calderon, and Fields for Gasol, D. Morris, and Earl Clark. This will give us even
more space in 2014.

Don't you guys see how similar a Pau for Calderon, Bargnani and Ross trade would be to the Jermaine O'Neal one, one of the worst trades any team has made in the last 10 years. I mean it's EERIE how similar it'd be. You've got the big expiring (Calderon/Rasho), the youngish player who's on the way out and the media is killing (TJ/Bargnani), the young prospect piece (1st, Ross), and it's for a 30+ former star with bad knees who makes 20 mil+ a season for 2 years.

IT'S THE SAME TRADE!!! Except even worse because we don't even have a Bosh to appease and because our season is already virtually over.

I don't expect the Lakers to be interested in a Pau/Bargnani and Calderon trade, but what worries me is BC trying to flip Ross to a 3rd team for a win now vet to send to the Lakers, which would potentially make their end much better. (ie if Indiana would trade Granger for Ross, then the Lakers get Granger, Calderon and Bargs for Pau is one example). GOD DAMN if BC even tries to make a Bargnani, Calderon, Ross for Pau trade and repeating the JO mistake. He would enter Isiah levels if he did that

Don't fret, there is ZERO chance we do Bargnani and Jose for Gasol and then throw in a sweetener in Ross.... it's just absurd. Even Bargnani and Jose is too much at this stage.

The sweetener definitely needs to come from the Lakers. But they don't really have any.

He's 32 and on the decline, not to mention he doesn't wear big boy pants.

He currently averages double the rebounds of Primo Pasta

K so were comparing two big sissys, I'll take the younger one on a bad team, over the one playing with a bunch of all stars/hall of famers and still being called out.

I disagree, Pau is playing with a much better cast and has for the past 2-3 years. He's older, and brittle, but ya he can still grab boards.

If were going to Trade Bargnani I want a better return than Pau Gasol

I'm referring more to this year, I have NBA league pass, I haven't missed a lakers game. He's not the same player he once was.

You wanna give up Bargnani AND Calderon for Gasol and Blake? We would be getting fleeced badly

Ain't gonna happen

I just don't know what you expect to get for Bargnani and a rental player on an expiring.

Unless Ed Davis or Amir Johnson step up their game and really make Bargnani expendable, I don't see why we would trade a 20/5 guy making 10 million dollars, I mean that's a god damn bargain, yet I read people bitching about his contract and suggesting Amnesty lolol?

The other players putting up his numbers or better are making more than 10 mill, a lot more.

I was on board with trading Calderon's expiring contract early in the year when Lowry was beasting, but the more I watch Lowry struggle, I get worried if we dealt Calderon, we would be seeing a lot more of John Lucas, which I am sure we can both agree would be a nightmare..

I'm on the fence with dealing both, but would be more willing to depart with Calderon assuming we can get a good return, Lowry returns to form, and we can find a better backup PG.
