defensive center In the league :
(NA = not available - RFA or FA - Tra = tradable)

O'neal's - Boston(NA)
chandler - Dallas (NA)
Horford - ATL (NA)
Mohammed - Charlotte (FA + TRA)
Perkins - Boston (FA)
Hibbert - Indy (NA)
Al jefferson - Utah (NA)
Okafor - NOH - (NA)
nÚnÚ - DEN - (RFA)
Blair - SAS (NA)
dalembert - sac (FA)
Marc gasol - Mem (RFA)
Patchulia - ATL (TRA)
Hayes - HOU (FA)
hawes - Phi (FA)
Jordan - CLIP - (FA)
Kaman - CLIP - (RFA)
Miller - Hou (NA)
Briedrins - GSW - (TRA)
Gasol - LAL - (NA)
Bynum - LAL (NA)
gadzuric - GSW (FA)
andersen - DEN (TRA)
McGee - WASH (?)
Booker - WASH (RFA)

We need to get a franchise PG and go from there. Also, we have to replace the coaching staff. They suck major dick and seem soft as butter.
you do understand that chandler is an expiring contract? we all know he'll just bolt right after this season, making us search for another "defensive" 7 footer, then start over again. everyone proclaims that to be the only reason why we will win 45+ games make playoffs, etc. but sacramento has a bunch of great paint clogging big man (thompson, cousins, dalembert) yet they're the worst in the league even with the best offensive rebounding numbers, charlotte before had thomas, chandler and wallace, all great defensive players yet 37 wins was there franchise best.

and for anyone that goes around saying "well maybe if we get a defensive player he'll teach our young players". I call bullshit, camby, jermaine o'neal, chandler, shaq, etc. was never mentored by anyone, they learned trail by fire, the only thing that happens with getting a veteran player is a few wins and less minutes for your players.

ps: im not angry at you btw, i respect your opinion its just this rebuilding process is making me pissed and alot of people who think getting some overpaid aging player will benefit this team makes me want to facepalm

i was mcgee on 2k9 once paired with bargnani, he averaged 17 blocks a game, too bad my Raptors still went going 12 and 70

only way were getting a center is through the slow process of drafting and developing, unless we get a freak trade with a young one (marc gasol, hibbert)

andersen form denver can be acquire in a trade if carmelo goes.

but you are right the draft can help us.
like our young center alabi and ajinca. if they can bulk up a little their body, maybe we can have two solid center as backup.

Andray Blatche is one of the ideas that has been floated around lately as the Wizards appear to want to part ways with the often lazy and childish power forward. His teammate, JaVale McGee is also an option as the Wizards could part ways with their shot-blocking center and package him with Blatche. It seems unlikely that the Raps would pick up a distraction like Blatche, but there is no denying he has a talent and is a legitimate possibility.
Thats from an article in the bleacher report. If we have to take blatche but it results in getting mcgee I think i maybe up for it. what do you guys think??

Ok people i know this is a slow rebuilding process and its going to take time, i just feel that as long as we keep pasta boy on our team, we will need a big motherfcuker to hide his deficiencies. If we do not get that in the the draft but still get a decent player in our top 5 pick, then this team will only be marginally better unless the guy we draft is fucking MJ or Lebron. To build a team, you must do it inside out. Develop a stong front court and then get a strong PG. SG and SF can be interchangeable pieces. Honestly at this point if we can trade Bargs for a good player and a pick i would do it. I would slide ed Davis to PF where he will be a beast if he bulks up and go after a more well rounded C in the draft. Bottom line is that you guys are right, there is no quick fix for this team and there a lot of holes in it.

Raptors

Would be great to have, but we really need someone who can finish out games. At the end of every game, other teams trot out a guy who can get to the basket or pick up the foul consistently. We don't have that. This team fights but the ends of games tend to look the same.
