if Bosh tells brian he will leave, why not do this:
trade Bosh + hedu + banks for battier + tmac
waive tmac to save the headaches (he expires anyway)
trade jose for a young SF with upside

get 20 wins and hopefully get #1 and draft wall, suck bad for another year or two to get another young franchise-level player, and hope to become the next portland/okc ...

rather than wait until the summer when we might lose Bosh for nothing, and even worse, we might make the playoffs in the 8th spot and lose the draft pick too ...

Houston needs some offence.

Bargnani/Banks for T-mac.
Hedo for Carter.
Jose/2 1sts for Chauncey
Rasho/POB for Camby.

Billups/Carter/McGrady/Bosh/Camby

oh and p.s... I wasnt serious... but dont make a new post just for a trade proposal man. sheesh. even I know that lol.

I agree..we already have some nice young pieces in place. Even if Bosh somehow stays, we'll continue to be mired in mediocrity, unless Wade comes north..And I'd rather be top 5-6 in the lottery than a 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs just to be cannon fodder. It's supposedly a very deep draft upcoming. It would also serve as due opportunity for Bargs to prove what he can do as the main attraction. If he fairs well, great..if not, the Raps will suck anyway and his play won't hurt the squad...

if Bosh wants to leave, it's pointless to trade bargnani, on a bad team he will be a 20/10 guy next season, and his value will skyrocket.

I'm not saying to tank , but if Bosh tells management he's leaving, trying to make the playoffs would be horribly bad, as we'd lose the pick.

If we don't get #1, that's fine, at least we get another good young player, and we'll continue to suck for a while. If fact, teams that stop sucking before they get a superstar in draft are in the worse spot. That's what we, chicago and philly did over the past few years ..

I also think Toronto needs to go through a legit rebuilding phase, the problem is BC has given up too much already with these signings.

First off I would fire BC.
If I had a choice I would give Bosh and Banks+/Andrea/Jack/Calderon/turk to New jersey for Harris and Brook Lopez. I would give Hedo to anyone for some draft picks. Bargs for Al Thornton from the Clippers, or draft picks. get rid of Belenelli/Wright.

Trade Calderon or Jarret for a Salmons/Deng type player

Then we would have a core of

Harris PG
Brook Lopez C
Amir Johnson PF
Derozan SG
Deng/Thornton SF

to build a team around. That is young talent that given time and perhaps an extra veteran piece has the potential to be a Portland or Atlanta. It can be done, honestly I would rather watch a team like that even if they are under .500, becaues at least they will be a tough, exciting team and by the time they peak in the next 3-4 years, the contenders right now will be in decline.

I would NOT get rid of Derozan, his potential is amazing. Especially for another European player.

you obviously haven't seen Rubio play and he's a good defensive player
I would like to draft Turner and he's better than DeRozan will be

I'm all for a complete tank.

Get a stud or two in the draft.

How about we draft a 6'11 big who 5 years into the league will average 20 and 10 and the next year be top 7 in the league in scoring and top 3 in rebounding.

Oh shit, we already did that.

Tank, tank, tank, tank, tank. Fuck that. What we need to do is hold onto our superstars until we can get 2. Hold onto Bosh until Derozan gets good (2-3 years).

The contracts of Bargs/Turk/Calderon are holding us back alot though.
