I would say it's the second last straw - the last being another losing season.

The fact that he has a previous relationship with Nash says something about B.C. standing with star players if he's unable to get Nash to Toronto.

OR

It says something about Nash and how he truly feels about Toronto. It's quite possible that Steve Nash really dislikes Toronto. Everybody assumes he would like to play here...it might be the opposite.

Who knows. Hopefully he signs.

Agree with OP. BC almost can't get anything done:

-couldn't get anything for Bosh, even just Beasley
-so far his major free agent acquisition has been Hedo after many offseasons
-had to give up a first rounder for James Johnson
-had to give up a first rounder to get JO out of Toronto
-couldn't even get a deal for the #8 to move down in the draft
-can't even sign Matt Barnes. Even though he's not the greatest player on the planet, it's a simple signing that he fucked up.

This has been one of the most interesting threads to read in a while. Does nobody remember when Fields torched us from the 3 when Melo wasn't there, in his rookie year? I like the kid and don't necessarily think it was a bad signing if he comes through. To tell you the truth, I'd be more inclined to boo Nash before BC if Nash doesn't come here.

At the end of the day, what rings true to me, is everyone that is saying how such a short term move this is (Nash), especially when Colan Gelo was speaking of a long term PG solution. I love Nash, but it seems like a lack of vision is being projected here to us fans. It surely is a business around here because much like a corporation, the real agenda seems to be hidden, if there is one.

P.S- How the hell is having Nash at 12 Mil better than having Calderon at 10? I like them both and the whole idea seems a little silly to me.

Actually, reading what the knicks fans have to say, they think hes more a small forward then a shooting guard. This makes sense because we played extremely well when melo was out and his rookie campaign.

On a side note, do you guys think BC is sitting in his office thinking about how hes going to screw this team up? Seriously, you guys sound as if hes not trying to get guys here.

Also, if you want to fire him, who would you hire? ED Stefanski? What you guys seem to be missing is there is 30 of these jobs in the planet. BC`s got one for a reason.

He shouldn't be fired, just if the team doesn't make the playoffs don't extend his team option.

I can live with BC for one more season but i'm ready for a change also.

Last season, nash almost took that phoenix team, which might have the owrst roster in the league in terms of talent, to the playoffs. He was a top 5 pg, second in assist per game. I truly believe with nash, you can take the age away from the equation, he makes everyone better and the fact is he is one of the best shooters in the league right now. And also, if all of his athleticism is gone at the end of the contract he can at least knock down shots. He is worth every penny.

Please, comparing jose to nash is absurd.

Ain't no BS. We did workout Roy Hibbert on June 19, 2008 and Raps were really impressed with the workout and had dire need for a center after getting killed by Howard in the 2008 playoffs. Lets face it, when BC targets a player, he'll do anything and even trade a 17th draft pick (with a chance to draft a young promising center), TJ Ford, and Rasho.
