If Derozan can average 10-15 ppg should he play as many minutes as Parker used to?

I was just thinkin about it, I'm pretty high on Double D Should he play 33 plus minutes per game if he scores as much or just a little more than AP did?

That's an accurate range for him, 10 - 15 ppg, 4 rpg and probably 2 assists.

its not about how much he scores, its about how effective he is on the court when he's playing

He's more affective than Parker already he drives to the basket and halph of his shots go in

I'm just putting the question out there cause people are saying he will only get 15-20 minutes per.

I believe he will get more.

^^^ I agree, he'll probably be around the 22-25MPG range. I think alot depends on his defence. He can probably get 10PPG if he gets 20+MPG but his defence will dictate his role in his first season.

his jump shot needs work and those bricks he threw at the free throw line.

although, i'm streaky at free throws too.
but, he needs to improve because he is an nba player and will create alot of free throw opportunities for himself

He's got a very good jump shot, from mid range. He shot close to 60% last season from inside the 3.

I think DD will average, 11 pts 3-4 rbds and 2-3 asts. He'll get 25 minutes tops so he can adjust and as time goes on he'll get more and more

I think DD will get 15-18 mpg and average about 8 points, 3-4 rebounds. I think him and Wright will be pretty similar next year actually, with DD probably being better in transition and Wright being a better shooter, particularly from 3.

I think if he plays good D, can score 10 points, and grab a few rebounds, we should play him about 20 minutes. But I really don't think DD is that ready to contribute for 33 minutes a game consistently. I think he might start the season playing 15 minutes and end the season playing closer to 25 minutes, but 33 is just too much for a rookie.

I still think that if his defense is rock solid, he should start.

That's nice but lets not sucking his dick just yet.

There is a reason why T.Gardner is a benchwarmer in the NBA. And I saw part of the game last night, DeRozan's defense was better than the previous outing. But most of these guys are either bench warmers or NBA hopefuls, so his success here doesn't necessarily mean that he's be a stopper against the big boys. I certainly hope so, but what he does in training camp against guys like Hedo, Jack (?), Delfino (?), Wright, and George is a lot more indicative of what role he will play on the team.

Its not all about scoring. He has to defend and take care of the ball too.

One thing I think we'll see is that DD's game is NOT set up for Summer League, but it IS set up for the proper spacing and the seams you will get in the NBA for your mid-range game.

This kid will get his open looks for sure!!!

1-3 you have 144 min

Turk 35min
Calderon 35min
Jack 25min
DeRozan 15min

34 min left for Wright, Delfino, George, Ukic, Douby and Banks? I'm thinking:

Delfino 15min
Wright 15min
Ukic 4min

Is that fair? How do you guys think it will look?
