OK, this is pretty realistic to think about at this point. I mean a month ago i would have never thought he'd be leaving and tought it was 70/30 that he'd stay. Now i've completely flipped that around, 70/30 that he leaves. So here is a list of teams i think he'd be inclined to go to. Which one of these teams would you think he'd end up with? And what package can we realistically get with that team? Which team do you think would give Colangelo the best package?

Miami
NY
Chicago
Houston
Dallas
SA
Denver
OKC (yes i think he'd go there, 50 win team this season)
Atlanta
Other team??

I'm not sure which one of these teams have capspace but considering it would be a trade....whatever.

Traditional you really never get a good deal in a S&T so I'd problably not expect it to be such a great move. On the other hand you have Hedo and Jose killing the cap so might as well be competitive until their contract runs out.

I'd like to see an example of a S&T that benefited the team that traded the better player.

From a few S&T in the past i noticed its mostly just draft picks that come back.. and maybe a few players to make the cash equal but never anything that would benefit the other team. People are saying Miami is the number one choice for him, in that case they really have nothing to offer us back, so expect a bunch of role players and draft picks in the high 20's.

You're not only gonna get a few draft picks + filler for a max all-star that's under contract for 6 years.

Well, when was the last time a Max player was involved in a S&T?

I believe McGrady was sent in S&T, and the Raps got a first rounder from Orlando

I'm thinking first rounder and rotational player off the bench...the returns won't have a huge impact unless somebody wants Bosh + another player off the Raps roster.

McGragdy left Toronto as a FA. And he was 20yrs old and just coming off a rookie contract.

Find the last time a MAX player is signed for 6yrs and traded. Then maybe we can have a point of refference.

If Lebron and Wade stay put, or even just one of them. There will be a bidding war for Bosh.

Rashard Lewis. Signed and traded from Seattle to Orlando. What did Seattle get in return? A second round pick and a 9 million dollar trade exception.

OK, there's one point of refference. I still say that in this climate and BC as our GM a package like that won't happen. Not even close. I still say we get a very good player, a young prospect and 1 or 2 draft picks.

Sign and trades don't get you much. Some picks and maybe a filler or two but IMO that's about it

They won't trade Thabo I don't think.

He's the anchor to their D. He's the one who spreads the sphere of defensive influence there. I mean, sure if it takes getting Bosh I can see them doing it, but they'd probably just send us someone else...

So they'll keep Thabo and take a pass on Bosh? Really?

Joe Johnson was sign-and-traded for Boris Diaw and 2 first round picks.

He wasn't a max player, so we should get better. I still say 1 good player + 1 young prospect + 1 draft pick is what i expect. We'll see.

A bunch of unprotected first rounders and a young rotation player or two would be a pretty good haul. Realistically if Bosh wants out, this team is in a full-scale rebuild. It won't be a factor in 2010-2011, or 2011-2012. You're aiming to make the playoffs in 2013 with a rebuilt core, by then the bad contracts will be up or easier to move.

If Bosh really wanted to go to Miami, I think Miami can afford to just sign both Wade and Bosh. In that case, do they have any advantages to do S&T with us?

If not, I would be very afraid of the scenario.
