Not likely I know. But I would be curious to see what would happen if he were a UFA.

Which teams would be interested and how much would he get? I would say MLE type of money. I also would be curious where he would want to sign. At a much reduced rate I think interest in him would surprise some.

I'd say either a team that already kinda has it's act together and don't need him to be much more than situational big (Clippers/Rockets?) or a team that wants to stay on the treadmill, but needs to move up from the end of the lottery to the 8th playoff team. (Philly?)

Chicago, Utah or any of the bad teams (Bobcats, Suns, Magic)

I don't think he'll go to Miami or the Nets.
If he went to Miami there would be no one in the paint. LeBron would be forced to play center lol

Your whole question and thread is flawed.
If Bargnani is amnestied, he doesn't become an unrestrictred free agent. He goes through a waiver process that is slightly different than the regular waiver process. The amnesty waiver process gives teams the opportunity to make full and partial bids. It's doubtful anybody makes a full bid, otherwise they'd just trade for him with that cap space. So if anybody wants him, they'll make a partial bid using cap space. A bunch of teams will have cap space. The highest bid gets him. If there is a tie, then the team with the worst record has the winning bid.

Also note that only cap space can be used. No MLE, no exceptions of any kind. So teams over the cap are out of the amnesty waiver process. That rules out several of the suggestions so far.

I heard golden state, lakers, bulls but this was during the season nothing new right now

I think he would sign in San Antonio, that team has cap space and they know how to get the most out of players,

he would be a perfect fit there,

I wouldn't mind doing a trade with them getting gary neal, matt bonner, and cory joseph as our back pg, that would help our bench depth out big time

Nowhere. I think he would get picked up by someone. A number of teams make sense. An interesting option would be Houston, if they have a little bit space left after signing their free agent this summer. He'd make a lot of sense there.

THIS!

I was thinking the exact same thing when I read the original post.

I think that the Masai-(ah) will end up getting something decently useful for Bargs. I think it won't be amazing return, but will fill positions of need. Bargs probably gets traded for a backup 4/5 and/or 2nd string PG.

I didn't think it was possible the Raptors would amnesty him but now i'm starting to think its a real possibility

but I would much rather trade Bargnani because much as hopeless case he still has value and there are teams with so much arrogance thinking they can fix him and they'll trade for him

so we trade him and use the amnesty on LK or landry fields, I prefer landry fields
