Nuggets or the Spurs seem like the kind of teams that find cheap broken Enigmas and fix them with good coaching.

McGee and Bargs off the bench.

Funny how nobody wanted Boris Diaw a few seasons ago...

if he is amnestied, he will sign with the bobcats, because they get priority in the queue.
At around 2 million or whatever he will get, there is no team in the league (raptors included) that wouldn't take a gamble on him.

that being said, the chances of amnesty are nil, there is got to be a trade that sends back a shorter contract in return, so we can use the amnesty on LK who is complete dead weight right now.

Why use amnesty on Kleiza if it doesn't clear cap space? He'll be a useful trade chip as an expiring at the deadline.

Amnesty only makes sense for either guy if they have some sort of plan to get cap space. Not really sure how that would happen, but otherwise any amnesty is pointless ...

Having Bargnani on the floor is pointless. Having him on the bench is pointless. Amnesty might end up being the least worst pointless thing to do after years and years of less points scored than he gives up.

The good news is that TL and MU appear to be smart about it and won't make a knee jerk decision. TL made it clear that we have to maximize our assets and that we can't afford to sell low. That clearly eliminates the amnesty option.

He can sit at home without using the amnesty. Amnesty gains you nothing.

Quite frankly he is better than any 9-13 guy in the league by a mile, so if you guys wanna continue to discuss this situation like emotional 15 year olds thats fine, but at some point you will have to cut the crap and look at things logically.

You want that cap hit gone, you want a big replaced with a big that will defend intelligently and responsibly, thats fair. But to sit there, and make it sound like Bargnani is a complete piece of shit player is asinine at best. ANY decent coach could find places for this guy to make him extremely effective so if in the end he ha to be kept due to a lack of interest, then worse things could happen.....
think of it this way.... keep him, and let hoim hgo when its time, concurrently chopping cash where you can so in 4 years, when Wiggans can bolt wherever he goes, you sign him as a FA and add him to you core.

I think this falls in line with what TL and MU have both been saying. The general thought that he must go at all costs is absurd given the void of talent on this team and our lack of flexibility regarding our cap situation. Patience should be in order, and just like every other mediocre player on our sub-500 team, move them when they bring a positive return. This isn't a team that can waste assets and should be doing things to salvage them.

exactly, which is what I stated ever since BC made that comment about trading him. I get that he is a detriment (according to some fans) by his mere presence, but we just can't afford to sell at his lowest value. I was a bit afraid when I saw the rumours that MU said we have to trade him by July 1st, but now I know it was just media bs. We will trade him when the time is right, not on an artificial deadline that just encourages people to lowball us.

Is it too far-fetched to suggest Amir should be the asset shipped out given his value likely being at or near it's pinnacle? We all love Amir's personality, but there may not be a better sell high candidate on this team. That said, there isn't a need to always sell high on every asset.... sometimes you need to hold when they offer value elsewhere, such as team continuity, culture and unselfish play.

Bargnani is done in NBA. He goes to Europe or China. The league has become tougher, there's no time for time wasters.

Back to the original question, I think Houston would be highly interested to give the Rockets a scoring big man. Bargnani and Asik would be a pretty good duo. I could also see the Knicks, Bulls, Pistons, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Indiana inquiring, since all of them could use a stretch 4 either as a starter or off the bench.

If Bargnani start the season in Torontom ix-nay on the ooing-bay. It doesn't help them trade a guy.
