And how exactly did he back down against him last night? It looked like he was working his ass off to me.

What annoys the hell out of me is that some people just don't seem to realize the advantage that KG has now by having PP and Ray on his squad.

In Sunday's game who were the Celts going to for their offense? Ray Allen. One of the best shooters in the history of the game.

Yesterday, who were the Celts going to? Pierce. One of the game's most unstoppable perimeter players.

Has anyone seen KG's numbers this year? He's avging something like 16 + 9. He no longer HAS to try to carry a team on his back at both ends of the floor. He just has to make himself available for the open shot, rebound the ball, and play tough D.

He has superstar, HOF-quality teammates (who are GUARDS) that are capable of taking over games down the stretch.

It makes a difference. Any one who thinks that it doesn't is just fooling themselves.

That's a good point TO. Garnett saves most his energy for the defensive end. Bosh doesn't get a break either way. He's got to work his ass off saving his guards backs defensively, and then work his ass off trying to get the basketball.

My suggestion is to re-watch the broadcast (or heck, any game agaisnt the Celtics for the last two years), and watch how Bosh reacts to Kevin Garnett's presence. In fact, don't even watch the ball, just watch the two of them. It's so incredibly obvious. Jack even made a mention of how Bosh backed down once again.

I agree... not only that Dogbert is one smart poster with long memory but also Dilbert is my favorite cartoon strip of all time.

one of the best posts i have seen this week!! well stated...if we had 3 future hof players, we would be able to let Bosh just rebound and defend too...

So Bosh is defending as ever and he is a pussy.

He is competing every night, but he is a pussy.

KG, top PF defender, but Bosh has to break his ankles in every play. Oh, and the Celts being a good defensive team is just an excuse.

Dunno, what more I'm losing, ah yeah, the guy has gone from the focus in attack to be one of the 3 or 4 guys that carry the offensive play, he said nothing, he is just defending and trying hard every night. And he really likes it, even when they lose Bosh is no more that sad because he can feel they are improving.

Wake up and watch the real thing. Nobody is perfect.

Give me $16 million year and I'll do it... he will score for sure but, trust me, he won't be laughing like he is when he's playing Bosh.

I'd do it. I bet Jake would've done a pretty decent job on KG.

I'd get so frustrated if I was playing KG. I'd get a technical foul every time down the court!

And yet he's going to lead this team to a nine game winning streak any day now in your opinion. I'll never understand the haters.

When he played hard, I really thought he would lead the team to an 8-10 game win streak........but I guess I was wrong. He seems totally set on coast to me now.

I do think that Sam was able to get more out of him as an individual player, but I also think that the guy has committed himself to making guys around him better now, and he's succeeding, without hurting his own game.

Still - how is he going to make up for all the wide open threes this team serves up every night? He's not. Why do you think he fell for the pump fake behind the arc at the end of the game tonight? Maybe he was just sick of seeing those shots going in and became overly aggressive. Coasting though - hardly.

I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing from him. How did Wade look at this point last season. He kinda just gave up on his team. Same thing happened with Pierce the season before. It happens all the time, but not with this guy. He's not putting the team on his back, and I'm thankful for that, because it's only lead to a couple of wins when he's done that, and it's ugly teamwise and then guys like you whine about him being spoonfed. I think instead he's actually learning fully what being a leader is all about, and it is going to pay dividends once he has a team around him capable of responding like a few guys did out there tonight.

You know what I hate? Players shaking hands and hugging before and after the games. They don't pull this crap in hockey until playoff series have concluded. To paraphrase Butch Carter - it's like a rec league. "We're friends off the court..." and all of this nonsense? Bleh. This is not fun for us fans. To sit there and be in absolute pain, hating the other team because they're the other team, only to have our team go and have some big, millionaire lovefest.

Mabey your right, team definately needs new wings and mabey I will see more once that happens.

I do think Marion would make a huge difference on the team.
