Unbelievable what some of you guys will type on a messageboard. Would you talk like that to a person in real life?

I can guarantee you this much, I'd bet everything I own and my Dog that you wouldn't say it to Torap in person.

Ps. If Dwayne Casey and Tom Sterner both have the same opinion as Torap, I thik I'm gonna lean that way, I mean, you know, because they are coaching th team, not some internet kid named ...ahem..."Thug".

How fitting a name.

Clean it up kid, you're making yourself look bad.

Probably the reality of the situation Carlito...I hear ya buddy.

What's so great about Bayless? He's great at that "out of control" PG style. Jarrett Jack was good at being out of control, but Bayless is great at it.

it is also somewhat of a luxury to have him as the backup, he's probably 1 of the more competent backup PGs in the league

How is saying thta Calderon knows how to run a team better than Bayless the stupidest thing, you'vre read?
Because its a fact that he is able to see the floor much better? I see Bayless to be a decent role player. He is athletic, pretty quick and has a good knack for scoring. His game actually reminds me of Jarrett Jack too, but a younger version. I think a combo of a PG who can make safe passes, and handle the ball well with a quick scoring Pg is actually a great addition to this team

This is an excerpt straight from Hollinger's article, I don't have the link for it but it was posted here quite recently

Quote:
Bayless:
Defensively, Bayless picks up cheap fouls trying to pressure opponents -- only five point guards fouled with greater frequency, yet he hardly ever stole the ball. He also struggled in pick-and-roll defense and staying with quicker guards; overall, Synergy Stats rated him the second-worst point guard. Partly that's because he didn't have much help from the crew behind him, but the lack of a good place to hide him remains the biggest obstacle to playing time for Bayless. He has the offensive chops to be, at worst, a solid third guard, but the permissive D may keep him in a lesser role.
So not only does he need drastic work on setting up the offense,
you also have to hide him defensively.

I wonder if we could get D. J. Augustin from CHA. He's expendable with Kemba Walker probably starting.

I think the reality is that both will play around the same amount, with Jose maybe clocking in a few more minutes down the stretch. Bayless is a bit reckless but a good athlete who looks at least somewhat promising on defense; Jose is smarter, more patient, and only plays D once in about 6 games. There are situations where one will be more useful, and there will be situations where the other will be called upon... It doesn't really seem like any sort of controversy at all, considering how different the players are in their approach to the game.

I do think Bayless will be a good role player and a smart PG down the road, but I'm not sure how long the organization will wait for him to get there. In my eyes, both are expendable if a better fit comes along.

the thing is... all these years, Calderon has been the best pg we have had since Rafer..

all the controversy at that position from the T.J Ford to Jarrett Jack days, we haven't had a true true point guard that can play ahead of Jose..

I like Bayless's speed and Athleticism, but other then that he is not smart with the ball.. he leaves his feet to much and makes bad decisions..

Calderon is still the man at pg until we address that

Calderon just pisses me off every time he's on the floor. This is what he does every time down the floor. He holds the ball for about 4 seconds waiting for the offence to set up, then runs the play, this along with him bringing up the ball leaves around 6-9 seconds for us to score. And if he can't get it to the guy he wants, he chucks up a brick (before he would hit them, now I'm surprised when he does.). Its such a slow and boring way to play, were so young and athletic and we play so slow and boring when he's on.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jose on the court is worth 2 more wins this season for a player who won't be here for long. We don't even want wins! We want players to develop and a high draft pick.

This would be a good move. Young guy, don't know how his D is but he would fit in well with our young up and comers. He's also a FA after this season I think.

I agree with the above poster, Jose makes me angry when he's on. I feel like he takes to many bad shots. Going forward, I don't think he'll be with the team much longer, gone in the off season maybe.

What makes you so sure of that? You don't know me personally, and I don't know you either, so why are you speaking out of your ass? I'm assuming its in your nature to judge others based on your username, but come on. Try to remove your head from your asshole and speak your opinion without getting personal.

I never criticized ToRap personally. I just spoke my opinion..that was the dumbest thing I read all day. Not what YOU read all day..I read all day. In MY opinion.

PS. I would love to see what other "guarantees" you could make based on people you have never met in your life.

Bayless is meant to be a guy off the bench, athletic 1. right of the bench and has that spark, I don't see him starting, but never know with Calderon, we just really need another point guard

I can see him averaging an 11-4 off the bench this season. A trade asset, that's all that really matters for a team in our position.
