Default I am Totally Surprised....

..... that on a forum full of ghuys that seemed to think Quincy Douby was actually a viable NBA player for this team, that no tone person has mentioned his release.

Yes.

Released.

Gone.

Or, as they say it in sports.... bitch was cut.

Good bye Quincy, you were a nice dude, but you sucked.

ps. Banks still gets a paycheque...... life stings, and it ain't fair, but, like I said earlier this year to a violent reception, Money and contract mean more than skill in this league in many situations.

It's nothing personal, it's just business.

lol, if he was a viable NBA player then he would have played, or at least taken off the inactive list.

I think Superjudge wants the people that actuallly thought he could play in the NBA to say something

One example

Quote:
The Arsenalist - RaptorsRepublic:

Surprising player:Quincy Douby. He's worked hard on his game and unless the Raptors don't sign another tweener point he's going to see some playing time. He's a confident player with good quickness, a decent handle and a respectable jumper. I think he's motivated to stay in the league and will play like it.

Who starts at SG?
check post #5

and my favourite

Quote:
Douby will surprise all. Heard he's working his tail off this offseason. Love the way he drives to the hole with no fear and usually makes the layup or gets fouled. He will be the perfect guy to bring in off the bench when we are on the road and the jump shots aren't falling like when your at home. On the road unfamiliarity usually means you gotta drive closer to the net to win. Douby is one of few guys on the Raptors who can do that well. We need to give him a good look this season.
Douby

I'd like to hear from colangelo because he also thought they had something in douby or else he wouldn't have gave him a contract in the first place

Well clearly he thought Couby was amazing so he gave him a partially guaranteed contract.... only stars get those...

Weems has emerged as a more athletic option than Douby and is thus more valuable as one of the last guys on the bench... why pay a guy who should never see the court? Practice? We talkin bout practice?

the fact that douby got a contract at all shows you colangelo sometimes shoves his head up his a**. We're making fun of poster's who spoke highly of douby so why not the general manager while were at it. You know, the guy that actually used a roster spot on the grunt scrub.

Yeah, to sign a guy to a non guaranteed 600,000 contract, thinking he might be a decent 14-15th guy on the bench makes him the worst GM in the league?? And considering he now doesn't have to pay a guy that never played makes him what exactly? Some guys really post for no apparent reason at times, maybe just for the sake of bitching?

who said he was the worst gm in the league? did you say that, i know i didn't

just thought i'd point out that colangelo actually used a roster spot on douby. Just as sympathy to the fellow poster's that actually thought douby would find a role

by the way, quit bitching for the sake of bitching

Who cares if he used the roster spot on Douby. Honestly. Go through the bench of every team in the league and look at the IR/14th/15th guys. They're all of the same calibre. Sometimes you get lucky, but mostly you don't.
