Hubie Brown Defensive Commandments

I have to ask myself. How many minutes would Bargnani have under a coach like Hubie Brown?

I'm not aware of the meaning of the world "Degensive"

Seems like all common sense. I do this on second nature when I play yet Bargnani can't even challenge a shot...

Belsius 06-26-2011 05:33 PM

yep, Im sure you are a much better defender than bargani

Hubie Brown's coaching style reminds me a lot of my high school basketball coach. Hard and tough with little tolerance. He knew the game, just scared the shit outta me. :cookie:

i think his point might have been somewhere along the lines of at the level he plays he puts the required effort in to stick to his man, stay on his feet and box out. He obviously couldn't do that in the nba, but again it is just about effort and application, at least to be a servicable defender.

still fairly new here but there are definitely people on here who are here to criticise and argue rather than debate and inform, and (crazy thought here,) actually be informed by others.

for the record i would say dirk is a poor defender who has upped that level to average by commitment. Being on a winning team prob helps provide that desire!
