How will we start the New Year?

After tomorrow nights game vs Charlotte we will start a tough stretch before the schedule eases up again a little. How will we start the New Year. All i have to say is, we better win tomorrow night.

Saturday @ Boston
Sunday vs SA
Wednesday Jan 6th @ Orlando
Friday Jan 8th @ Philly

2-2 at best imo. I'd say the only games we could win are the Spurs game at home and the sixers game with an outside chance in Boston if Garnett is out?

BTW, can we stop playing Orlando already??

Isn't Pierce out?
if he is, we can beat the Celts... winning that game would do wonders for our confidence. i hate the celtics.

I don't like the Celtics either, but they are up inside the Raptors heads. I have a feeling that even without Pierce they'll still beat Toronto in Boston.

This team can beat S.A. at home.
Orlando's got their number.
I see no reason they shouldn't beat Philly, even on the road.

2-2 in their next four.
Any less would be a disappointment.

The Celtics have lost their last 2 games which were against the Clippers and Golden State.

They are missing Pierce who is out 2 weeks with left knee surgery.

So I think this could be the Raps best opportunity to steal a win and gain some much needed confidence.

In answer to your query, it wasn't really surgery its a knee infection that was sore and they had to drain it. And they estimated 2 weeks from Dec 23.

Here's the quote from Doc Rivers via yahoo sports:
Quote:
Dec 28 F Paul Pierce (right knee infection) is doing well, but the Celtics see no need to rush him back. "I think he's healing faster than we thought," said Doc Rivers. "Having said that, we're still not sure if he'll play quicker that the time we said, the two weeks. I don't know (anything) about this stuff, but I know you've got to be careful -- and you know we're going to be careful. If it was up to Paul, I can tell you he wanted to come out (to Los Angeles). And that's not going to happen. I can guarantee you that. "My instructions to (the) medical (staff) is that if he's a hundred percent and feeling great, then we'll consider it."

Saturday @ Boston--L
Sunday vs SA--L
Wednesday Jan 6th @ Orlando--L
Friday Jan 8th @ Philly--W

We will lose to Boston cuz they are at home and lets face it, even without Pierce they will just shut down Bosh and that will be the en of that for us. SA is a good team and will beat us. We just suck against Orlando, thank god it's the last time we are facing them. Philly hasn't been playing well this season so IMO that will be our one and only win

"Drain" his knee, fuck that sounds raunchy.

2-2, I expect Paul Pierce to be back by the time we play the Celts because 1) They've had some bad losses against two very shitty teams and 2) We're the Toronto "Get You Back on Track" Raptors

I actually think thats the reason Pierce wont play...
Doc will assume that we are beatable with PP out of the lineup and he wont risk him coming back early for the "easy" raps.
hopefully we'll surprise him and teach him a valuable lesson.

1-3 with the win being vs boston due to there injuries
orlando and SA are likely loses and philly is due to go on a roll any time now as they are much better then thier record shows and athletic which gives this team problem's

Ya, I guess it could go both ways. If that ends up being the case I look forward to seeing Turkoglu punish Tony Allen.
