Default How are we in the East? Please vote!

Right now there are some nice and improved teams in the East. How do you think the conference is right now? I wrote a bit of each team (I chose teams with real chances, not in order)

Atlanta - They have a nice young team, but nothing else. They don't have a key factor to go to the Finals. They're superstar is Joe Johnson and he's really inconsistent. They lack depth, specially in the paint. Crawdord is a big boost for their backcourt, but Marvin Williams has not been resigned yet, which means they can have problems with their wing positions.
Probable starters:
G - Mike Bibby
G - Joe Johnson
F - Marvin Williams (Mo Evans or Flip Murray)
F - Josh Smith
C - Al Horford
Rotation players - Mo Evans, Jamal Crawford. (no resigned frontcourt players)
Strengths: Backcourt 3pt shooting, athletic bigs that can run the floor

Boston - Not to much to talk about. They lacked frontcourt scoring with KG out, now they added Rasheed. They still want a reliable back up for the wing position, but the team looks pretty solid. They need Ray Allen to be on fire on the playoffs. He's the guy to take pressure out of Pierce. Egos could be a problem, since they've Sheed and Rondo wants a big deal and Boston may try to trade him.
Probable starters:
G - Rajon Rondo
G - Ray Allen
F - Paul Pierce
F - Kevin Garnett
C - Kendrick Perkins
Rotation players - Tony Allen, Rasheed Wallace, Scalabrine, House
Strengths: Frontcourt Defense, offensive/defensive players, rebounding

Cleveland - They added Shaq, resigned Varejao to a big deal (too much money for an expendable guy), and added AP. They might be better, but that's not enough. They have LBJ, but their pick'n roll defense really suck, Ilgauskas is really old, all their bigs are fat and slow, and they still lack a ball handler to take the pressure out of Lebron. BTW Cleveland biggest problem is still LeBron's mind. Will he overcome last year big loss to Orlando?
Probable starters:
G - Mo Williams
G - Delonte West
F - LeBron James
F - Anderson Varejao
C - Shaquille O'Neal
Rotation players - AP, Gibson, Ilgauskas
Strengths: LBJ, quick players to make an effective pressure defense, screen and roll game (with James or G's Williams and West)

Orlando - They have Dwight Howard, they'll get back a healthy Jameer Nelson, they have NBA's prime 3pt shooter Rashard Lewis, and they added Carter. Their bench has some nice guys, and with Bass they'll be able to play Lewis at SF; I see them better than they were with Turkoglu in the Finals. But their offense will need some adjustments because Carter is a totally different scorer compared to Turkoglu. He's not a good playmaker. He's a shot creator (one of the best BTW). Will it works?
Probable starters:
G - Jameer Nelson
G - Vince Carter
F - Mickael Pietrus
F - Rashard Lewis
C - Dwight Howard
Rotation players - JJ Redick, Brandon Bass or Gortat (one is Mavs', the other is Magic's posession)
Strengths: screen and roll game (Dwight always deserves help defense, which leads to 3pt shooters), defense in general (they'll be much better with Pietrus starting) and obviously 3pt shooting

Toronto - We're really a great team right now, even without knowing our wing guys. Bargnani 09/10 should be >>> Bargnani 08/09 (specially on defense). Bosh 09/10 should be >>> Bosh 08/09 (we'll fight for something, he's on contract year). Calderon will probably get healthy. We added the best FA available, a guy that'll solve all our late games problem. He's a capable defender and a great ball handler. Jack and Delfino will improve an aging Parker. We still lack a back up C, but we're contending this season!
Probable starters:
G - Jose Calderon
G - Carlos Delfino / Jarret Jack (undersized to play with Calderon)
F - Hidayet Turkoglu
F - Chris Bosh
C - Andrea Bargnani
Rotation players - Jack/Delfino, Evans, Wright, Ukic, Rasho, Kleiza ???
Strengths: hot 3pt shooting, height on the frontcourt, as well as great shooters; outsanding offense; Let's see if JT can manage a good defense. We'll have good guys, we just need a great gameplan.

Washington - Arenas, Butler, Jamison... Now Foye and Miller! A great team that'll surprise everybody. They have a ton of capable scorers and defenders. They only lack the most important piece in a team, that's a great big (Jamison is almost a perimeter guy - he doesn't knock people out of the glass). Haywood is below the average, he adds a bit of everything, but in a shy way...
Probable starters:
G - Gilbert Arenas
G - Randy Foye
F - Caron Butler
F - Antawn Jamison
C - Brandan Haywood
Rotation players - Crittenton, Miller, JaVale McGee, Dominic McGuire
Strengths: plenty of shot creators, offensive weapons, backcourt depth (which will keep Arenas away from playing outrageous minutes), Agent Zero

I tried to be the more realistic I could. I left Miami out of the list because they’ve no C and SF, as well as young an inconsistent PGs

Just posted the poll!

Miller used to be the sixth man in Minnesota. There Foye started at SG late in the season, and Miller backed up both SG and SF positions, because he's a ballhandler and a great scorer/playmaker off the bench!

we'll be at 4 rank in east... atlanta still nothing and wizard still doing project which putting miller and foye would make their team average.. not that special.. Raptors getting better but where the heck is DeAirozan in your Rotation?

Raptors team will be not hot at 3 point shooting... just because we got turk doesn't mean it will be raining 3s... we are not hot in 3s cos AP and JK already gone. Colangelo is trying to put up big bodies right now... Team will more slashing type if you can see we lost our 3point shooters.

If we get the 4th seed I wil be really happy cuz with the 4th seed we will have a legit chance at the second round, even if we will prolly lose there XD

I think the Wiz and Raps are at the same level. The Wiz were crippled by injuries last season. If they stay healthy they're going to be dangerous.

WAS is an interesting team thats hard to get a grasp on. I dont know how well Foye is going ot enjoy coming off the bench, and how hes going to fit playing beside Arenas since both play the same sort of chuck it up style.

Theyll be a fun team to watch though and a dangerous team come playoff time. Their main problem is they have injury prone players and they shouldnt have re signed Jamison and Arenas especially for so much.

Haywood, Jamison, Mike Miller, Butler and Arenas. That's a very strong starting five. I think the Wiz and Raptors will be battling for 4th and 5th. Foye is a wild card, he could thrive off the bench...Hard to say.

Definitely gotta wait and see. Remember last season?... yeahhhhhh . Last season we overrated JO's ability, we thought AP could play the same as the previous season, we had high hopes for Moon to improve his game, and of course there's freaking Jose limping Calderon who played 95% of last season injured.

That was last year not this year... More Promising and pressence will be going to this team. No lack of rebounding this time and defense are getting TIGHT.. more perimeter defenders we got this year.

Our Team is good and thats all i can say... last year was just another stupid thing caused of injuries and lack of rebound and atheletic players who do the hustle. Were too above to Washington and Atlanta. Beside we got new players right now that will equalize JO's rate... Rebound dat would be Evans, Turk and scoring dat would be turk and derozan who can create his own shot. Our Team was better last year before Calderon got injured and JO. We do not need JJ... BC is trying to sign him because of Bosh and thats it.
