Realistically speaking with all the new faces on the squad I believe the Raps SHOULD win about 48 games, but MORE IMPORTANTLY should make it to the 2nd round in order for the season to be looked at as a success.

I guess i have to make it more simpler for you to understand the point of this thread..Sorry if this is a bit complicated or above par...BUT what i meant how many should they win out of 82...So the question is "How many games should Raptors win out 0f 82 to be considered successful season"...i know its complicated.....try to take a guess.....please dont say 82 again...because even god is not 100% otherwise we wouldnt have war in afghanistan and panhandlers in Calcutta...

well there is no god, so technically, the world is perfect, but thats another conversation.

I'd say 82 is the goal, but I'd be happy with 63.

i am not convinced that 50 wins is out of the question. i think the changes made give this team every opportunity to get at least that many wins. Especially against the weaker sisters in the west. I see this team winning 30 - 33 at home this year... and 20 on the road is not impossible. we will offer many teams very difficult matchups in both the first and second wave! Not many teams are athletic as we are and with Jose coming back at anything less than 100% we have JJ waiting to step in and run this team. we had nothing behind Jose last year.. we lost many games because our 2nd line and bench was pathetic at best!

50 - 53 is not unrealistic... go get 'em guys!!

I like 50 as a nice neat number.

As long as they have it together heading into the playoffs. That's all I really care about.

How Many Games Will we Win?

I'm surprised nobody started this thread. I got bored so I used my copy of all the games the Raptors would play to simulate a season full of upsets and an injury or two. I tried to make it as realistic nas possible so I curbed my enthusiasm and optimism and tried to do it logically. I knew that the Raptors would get upset and cause upsets because of our skill. Basically, this is my prediction.
We start off with a loss against Cleveland where Jose tweaks his hamstring again. We beat the Grizzlies without Jose and Jarrett Jack leads us to a victory over the Magic. We get embarrased by the vets on Detroit. We pull past NO. We go into a two game slide where we lose to Dallas and San Antonio and go below .500. Then we beat the Bulls to pull our record to 4-4. After these gams the Raptors chemistry will increase allowing them to do better. They win two against the Clippers and Suns but drop one against the Nuggets. The Jazz only got worse this off season so the Raptors beat them followed by the HEAT. Magic get revenge and then we get upset by Danny Granger and Indiana. Bosh rips up the Bobcats but the Raps lose to the Celtics the next game. Raptors beat the Suns but lose to a healthy Wizards team that came off to a good start that season. Raptors go on a four game winning streak starting from the Hawks and finishing with the Wolves but get upset by the Bucks. At this point of the season, Jose is healthy and comes back. We beat the Hawks but lose to a young talented rockets team. Then something clicks and we go on a seven game winning streak beating the Heat, upsrtting the Magic, bating the Nets, Hornets, Pisons, Bobcats and a surprise win against the Celtics. Our record cruises to 22-12. We get embarrased by the Spurs and the Magic get revenge. We jump out of this slump on an 8 game winning streak beating the 76ers, upsetting the Magic, beatiing the Pacers, Knicks, Mavs, Cavs (they can't stop our frontcourt), Bucks, Bucks again, and somehow beat LA (by outscoring their bench). The next game D-Wade rallies to beat us. Then we destroy the Knicks. Beat the Pacers back to back, but lose to Nj and the talented Kings. We lose to the 76ers. We go on a slide before the all-star break.
After the all star break, we beat the Grizzlies and Nets but get dropped by Washington and Portland and Cleveland. We beat the thiunder but cannot stop the Rockets. We beat the Knicks and 76ers but LA gets revenge the next game. We go on a 7 game winning streak beating Sacramento, GS, Portland, Atlanta, The thunder, the Nets and the 'Wolves but get dropped by the Jazz and Nuggets. We beat the Heat and Bobcats but lsoe to the talented Clippers. We beat the 76ers but get embarrased by Golden State then lose to Cleveland and Boston. We beat the Hawks but lose to a surprisingly talented Bulls team. We end the season beating the Pistons and Knicks.

Our final record if you didn't read everything there or didn't want to would be 52-30. I think that's a realistic mark. I tried to add a few upsets here and there to make the season more realistic so don't scream at me when you see us upset the Lakers or Cavs. Hopefully this record comes to fruition. Yes, I actually think Jose will go down.

LETS GO RAPTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to see what would happen. I simulated basd stretches, upsets, and being upset and that's what I got. I double checked it too but thats how it worked out. Hopefully I'm right!
