Agreed... but our hopes were low then... trouble is that this season we all expected them not only to do better but to play harder and with a purpose...

Still... I am sure once post season is done and draft roles in we'll all get excited and hopeful... it's just natural for a fan... even if you are Leaf fan you think that next season they do it for sure... OK, maybe not if you are a Leaf fan.

Fairweather fans ... us? No, I don't think so. I would be watching, if I didn't have rotations and exams. The hubby has been updating me when I get home .... I think if I were watching the games, I would have broken several things by now. It's too frustrating.
Thats another thing, I always watched the Raps games during high school even through exam period. Even in the Mike James era. Couldnt even get away from it when we sucked horribly. Then again I could never really study for over like an hour or two, so the Raps games helped cure that haha.

Nah, at least then we didnt expect to really win. Now we have the easiest sched left in the NBA and we're losing somehow, whereas last season we destroyed all the bad teams, which is what a good team does. Its like we're the complete opposite of last year, the ball movement from side to side hasnt really even been there as much this year nor the PG's being aggressive EVERY game. I dunno what happened. Maybe its just a point of our PG's being on a leash this year with Smitch, because their aggressiveness isnt anywhere close to last years. Too many times off picks this year they take 2 steps forward, pick it up, and bounce pass it back to Bosh who is 18 feet away instead of probing CP3 style like they did last year.

1997-1998 and 2002-2003 were the worst I watched it all.

+1

watched every game with voshon lenard as the #1 option. yeah, it's been a hell of a lot worse than what we're seeing these days.

Voshon Lenard had a sick turnaround jumper.

lol. Voshon was quite good for that one season...

to answer the question: I am pretty frustrated for a number of reasons.

Here's my top 5 frustration list (not meant to be Letterman funny):

#5: The TJ/Jose point guard duo. this has just turned out to be a big fucking nightmare. They were supposed to be a huge asset, but to me it just seems like all the negativity surrounding this topic has had a shitty effect. can't wait for one to be gone next year.

#4: Good jump shooters.... who decide on some nights to turn into bad jump shooters. Why are we so damn inconsisnent? Why is Kapono not working out when he's "such a good jump shooter"? How come we miss so many open "shats"?

#3: Rebounding. WTF! we can look bloody awful when it comes to getting boards. We constantly get outmuscled for the balls that it looks like we don't have any!

#2: coaching. sometimes it looks like we don't have any of that either. The offense looks predictable. Defense looks unnaceptable usually - and we have the reigning coach of the year to look to for answers.... so where are they?

#1: Bargnani. Now i'll preface this by saying that he's playing a new position, taking on new challanges, is young, blah blah blah... but holy shit can this guy be frustrating at times. the thing that kills me is that this was our fucking FIRST OVERALL PICK. you don't get too many of those, so you certainly don't want to fuck them up, but man! Andrea looks more like a "project" than a first overall pick on most nights. That's terminology you an use for guys like Pape Sow or someone raw like that. yet if you think about it, Andrea is totally that. i'd rather have Roy right now.

Parity in the NHL is way higher. Toronto as a non-playoff team is still competitive every night for the most part. I don' tthink it's fair to compare.

Not to mention, Hockey in General is just elite to Basketball.

Frustrating. However, it's still better than the first few years and a couple of seasons ago when we started 1-15. We;re still getting playoff ball.

I like boobs.

Whenever the Raps lose I go feel my girlfriends boob's, or if she's already sleeping and on her stomach I look at pictures of boobs.

It makes me forget all about the Raps.

Ya.

Team success is better. However in those years you had Bad players over achieving to suck. We now have Good talent underachieving to suck.

That is what is very hard to swallow, especially when you're in Toronto, a Hockey town, fans here don't like what they percieve as half assed effort. It's just how the fan base is.

So... should Smitch get a boob job in order to make us feel better after every Raps' loss?
