Default How bout Ty Lawson?

If the Raps have a pick between 10-14 do you think Lawson would be a good fit.

He plays good defense, distributes the ball well, a slasher and can run an up tempo offense

Stats this year
16 ppg, 6.4 ast, 2.6 reb, 2.0 stls, 54.5 FG%, 47.2 3PT%

This frees up the Raps up so they can trade Calderon to Portland for some wings, draft picks, or wings/picks from another team.

I've asked you this like 4 million times - and it's because you're bringing it up all the time. Tell me why again Portland is going to take Calderon when they have Blake, Rodriguez and Bayless.

I also said any other team

I dunno why Caldy would go to Portland.
Maybe its b/c Fernandez plays for Portland.
Portland was shopping for a PG at the deadline.
There was a Portland-Toronto rumor all of last year

who cares

I don't think Calderon and Fernandez are that tight. I know Calderon and Gasol, even Calderon and Garbajosa, but not Calderon and Fernandez.

Portland wasn't really shopping for a PG at the deadline as much as they were shopping for a small forward (Carter, Jefferson)

I'd lean towards Willie Warren more than Lawson.

I think that 1 or 2 of those players might be there for the taking at 7 or 8.

+1. At this point we need to be addressing needs with draft picks, and the obvious hole is at the shooting guard spot. IMO it's a step back if we're trading our proven point guard and waiting a year for a rook to develop.

What the....?

You theories make no sense, bro. You constantly want to trade Calderon and stick 2 unproven kids (Ukic, Lawson) at one of the toughest positions in the game?

*shakes head*

I think you and Snooch should be banned from making hypothetical trade proposals.

okay man

don't some crying to me when Lawson ends up being a better than the player the Raps pick

and once again this is if the top wings are gone by the time the Raps pick.
I don't want to reach on a wing prospect when there is already a talented player available

Guy, Lawson will be lucky if he ends up like Raymond Felton - they've got the same game - short, lots of speed to burn, poor shooter - You think the kid's gonna be some sort of superstar.
And you'd want to take Lawson at 8? Unless he smokes the competition at the NCAA tourney and rocks out at the combines, there's NO WAY he's gonna shoot up the draft board. Which means we're not taking him.
