What do you think guys? Which one?

BTW Acie, I clarified with Romy that it was indeed you that came up with the "British Bulldog". (see my comments on his blog)

Anyhow, he's been making some noise around the league and he broke out against the Pacers scoring a career-high 21 pts and grabbed 8 boards, now he warrants his own nickname. I've asked bloggers from around the blogosphere for their help. Thanks to Jeff @ Pete Marasmitch for helping me get this started.

"The Whale Hunter"

Scott who blogs about the D-League picked this based on his family history. According to Wikipedia: "King (Nana) Father (Papa) Thursday Born (Yaw) Three (Mensah) Whale (Bonsu). In several interviews Mensah-Bonsu has suggested that his family earned its surname when an ancestor slew a whale"

"RUN PMB"

Pops runs the floor, he hustles. PMB for Pops Mensah Bonsu and....I'm a huge RUN DMC fan.

"The rest of the team and staff refer to Mensah-Bonsu as "the mayor," in deference to the students' reaction to him on campus. His smile is infectious, his personality contagious, always trying to emit positive vibes."

"The British Bulldog"
(I heard this on the FAN590 but not sure who originated it)
But Eric Smith liked it, he was basically saying "Why have The Junkyard Dog when you have the British Bulldog"

I am trying to make sure that I don't inject any RF.com bias into this, but right from the get-go I thought British Bulldog was the best nickname for him.

It looks like the RF gang have been showing their love for Acie's nickname, the British Bulldog right out in front with 38%, next after is Banzai with 17% of the vote.

Somewhere, Chuck is wishing he was in Toronto so he could scream, "Oh my goodness! Snap, Crackle and POPS!" I can hear it now.

Anyway, the dude doesn't need a nickname. His name is Pops. Also, he hasn't done ANYTHING to warrant a nickname.
