Default Hollinger's Chat Wrap - Raptor Related Stuff

I'm kind of surprised that Patterson's name hasn't been mentioned here in Toronto considering how horrid our perimeter defense has become. You think he's still someone we should consider?

SportsNation John Hollinger: (3:09 PM ET ) I'm shocked nobody has picked him up. He's not a Kobe stopper (never was, really), but he's a high-energy forward who still has a lot left in the tank. You'd think somebody like Dallas or Toronto would take a look.
Hollinger reconfirming that Jose's likely going nowhere this summer.

SportsNation John Hollinger: (3:11 PM ET ) The better question is this: Who is in position to offer Calderon more than the midlevel? The teams that project to have cap space aren't the ones that need point guards, and besides the fact the Raps can match any offer will likely scare suitors away. So I'm guessing Toronto can keep him for something around the midlevel.
haha .... check this out pimp.

Hollinger defending his pro-Raptor articles last week after two terrible losses.

SportsNation John Hollinger: (3:54 PM ET ) Those were my article, and it was nice of the Raps to go out and lay two eggs like that right after I wrote it. Even allowing for the fact that Bosh was hurt, those were horrible, horrible losses. I watched the Charlotte game and it was just as brutal as the box score made it looked -- Toronto's bigs got destroyed underneath, Calderon was making uncharacteristic mistakes (dribbled it off his own foot twice), and without Bosh the offense had no focal point. I still think they're a dangerous team if Bosh comes back, but obviously they need to regain their mojo to scare Boston or Detroit much.

hehe i would want Toronto to beat the Cav's, i just dont think we can right now

Hollinger is a moron imo and i take everything he says with a grain of salt anyways. But its nice to have a supporter at ESPN, cuz here in Dominican i watch mostly ESPN and its very very very VERY rare to hear anything on the raptors, thats why i bought nba and raptortv.

Man, he's picking us to take out the Cavs even though they can dominate the glass with Varejao, Wallace, Smith and Big Z? Very bold pick, he seems to love the Raptors. He had us ranked 4th a few weeks back in his Hollinger Rankings.

I like our chances against Orlando much better.
