I read his explanation on his website and it still sounds ridiculous to me. It really, really, does.

And just before the AS break they were in the 90's with a 2 percent shot at the Division tiltle. If this shit can change so radically in a couple of weeks, then how does it make sense or mean anything? If a sports competition can be reduced to this stuff, then there's something lacking.

He's a calculator that doesn't work.

Memphis has a 10% in making the playoffs? what complete utter bullshit

and why, why the fuck did he put Miami in front of Toronto in the standings.

The odds are based primarily on his power rankings
you're obviously free to come out with a better formula, but until you do, this is the best tool to calculate odds. The alternative is coming with a number out of your ass, and that would be highly subjective. And stinky... :)

Vegas does a similar thing when they come out with their lines, and nobody is complaining about that. And the lines are accurate enough to ensure they make money. Same thing with this - it's not a perfect method by any stretch, but it beats the alternative.

No system > flawed system. Anyday.

Hmm. By conducting my own calculations, I have concluded that the Raps have a 100% chance in winning the Championship.

According to my Calculations, it would seem that LBJ, Kobe, Dwight and Nash will sign with the Leafs I mean Raptors 100% in the off-season.
