these are old generation fucks that have never watched a basketball game in their life. kind of reminds me of how americans perceive that the NFL final is more popular than the World Cup. bunch of one sided idiots, that have no brain.

Practically theyre implying that the Raptors shouldnt even be getting any time. If it was the leafs theyre be on cbc. So they want Hockey on both Tsn and TSN2. Jays on SN. Then w.e is on SN1 leaving the Raptors to what channel?

Practically they cant handle that basketball is taking over

well at least the rangers are winning. Thankfully.

And for those that are having a hard time seeing a puck, it must be even harder for you to see a basketball foul.

that is all.

Basketball taking over? Don't think so considering the new NHL deal with Sportsnet. Hockey is going to be on triple the channels next season.

That was in the day of standard definition TV. With all the Hi Def available there should be no issue with following the puck. Hockey and Hi Def TV is a beautiful match.

Default Update: NBA Destroying the NHL in Postseason [US] Cable TV Ratings

Looks like the NHL is going to eventually turn into the next CFL (a sport that only people in Canada care about) (kidding...or am I?)

Quote:
Through the first week of NHL postseason play, the league’s narrative has been one of incredible success. A recent NBC press release touts that NHL postseason ratings are way up from last year. Games on the NBC Sports Network averaged 621,000 viewers through the network’s first ten games, up 61% from the first ten postseason games on the network last year, and CNBC’s average 295,000 viewers are up 25% from last year’s comparable games.

But while that sounds impressive – and the growth truly is important – it’s still nothing compared to the NBA.

Through Monday night, the NBA aired eight playoff games on cable networks (three on ESPN and five on TNT). Those eight games averaged 3.5 million viewers, or more than five times the audience tuning in to the typical NHL game on NBCSN. On Saturday, the NBA’s three opening playoff games led all cable programming in viewership, and Sunday’s games ranked as three of the top five most-viewed shows.

So the article talks about the NBA blowing the NHL out of the water, and then you post a top 15 list with two of the fifteen being NBA. Not sure I follow..

The first article is ratings in the US, where basketball reigns supreme and hockey takes a backseat; hence, Racer's comment that hockey may only matter to Canadians like the CFL.

The second post is specific to Canada, where Racer is showing that the basketball ratings are improving. The Raptors-Nets game had a higher rating than the Rangers-Flyers game shown that same night (see the OP).

Some poeple prefer Hockey.
Some prefer foot ball
some prefer futball
some prefer Ketchup
Some prefer Mustard

Has nothing to do with one sidedness. And nothing in the states tops football ratings.
