We should have traded Bosh in the summer before when he wouldn't commit. Once the season started he had less value at the deadline. Lowry hadn't really increased his value to almost allstar UNTIL the deadline came, so he didn't have that value to begin with. And trading him just to trade him for spare parts and bad picks makes little sense. We got 2 bad firsts in the S+T for Bosh remember. Not quite the same.

To get anything significant for Bosh would have required him extending first, which wasn't going to happen. See Rondo now, if he refuses to extend, how much would you be willing to give up for him? Not much ...

Tanking is here to stay in the NBA. Might not always be as popular as it is this year, but for some teams it's legitimately their only shot to build a decent team.

hopefully not, a change of rules is really necessary here
it's not the GM's fault either, they're just playing the hand they were dealt - it's the system that creates the wrong incentives.

to add to the list of similarities, we are now in 3rd place, projected to finish with 47 wins and a first playoff match against the Nets ... creepy stuff ....
