Hedo Turkoglu In for Detroit Pistons, Tayshaun Prince Out?

By Evan Sidery

Hedo Turkoglu wants out of Toronto and the Detroit Pistons want to get rid of Tayshaun Princeís 11 million dollar contract. Doesnít that sound like a perfect trade?

Hedo Turkoglu would fit perfectly into Detroitís offense with Hamilton, Gordon, and Villanueva. Turkoglu would be Detroitís #1 scorer, which Hedo has never been. Even though Hedo only averages 12 point per game in his career, he plays better then what his stats show. Then, we put Tayshaun Prince with the Toronto Raptors. He would be a better fit then Hedo Turkoglu with Toronto. Prince plays better defense then Hedo too. Prince would be a perfect fit with Toronto.

If this deal were to happen, who would get the better part of the deal? Hedo plays better offense, while Prince plays better defense. I think Hedo going to Detroit would make them a lot better.

Would Hedo guide Detroit to possibly a #8 seed in the playoffs? Hedo could do that for Detroit. I donít think Tayshaun Prince can guide Toronto to the playoffs though. The Raptors are in rebuilding mode, letting Bosh and possibly Hedo leaving.

Donít be suprised if this deal actually happens. It would help both, Toronto and Detroit.

BTW, Prince is an expiring 11.2Mil contract.

Don't understand why Detroit would do this though? We'll likely have to throw in a pick.

I thought the Pistons were cheap. Why would they pay so much for such a crappy player?

Not only that, but they'd be giving up a player that can defend his position for a guy that can't spell defend. I can see them offering Hamilton who has 3 years and close to 40Mil left on his contract though.

Hamilton is not the player he used to be... I'd look to sweeten the deal for Prince or let Hedo have his rebound season here. Dude signed for 5 years, least he could do is play two here, and promise him a trade if he plays better.

BC won't keep a player that has gone public with wanting out of town. Nor should he. Prince i'd do in a heartbeat, Hamilton would give me pause because he makes more $$/per then Hedo and still has 3 years left. Although Hamilton isn't brought up here, just saying i can't see Detroit's incesntive.

I would do that in a heartbeat. Not sure why Detroit would but we would have to throw in a pick that's for sure

Still, i'd do it. He's a good defender and an expiring. We can always aquire picks and will once we trade Bosh, Calderon, our expirings.

the article was done by a blogger based on an idea. there isn't much legitimacy behind the article, but it's something i wouldn't mind happening at all. if it were to happen, i could see our first being given away. you should all know the protocol by now.

If Prince for Hedo happened... who's to say Bosh doesn't reconsider? Prince along with Bargs and Bosh is a stud frontcourt.... but I think we'd still need to find a pg that can just flat out torch teams at times.... it seems jose or jack don't have it in them to do what guys like anthony johnson, jason williams, royal ivey, and the like do to us... lol

Default Hedo Turkoglu;

Even though I hate Hedo Turkoglu with all my heart...his up there with Vince Carter..the guy can still play.
So it kinda makes sense for both teams.
Prince doesen't want 2 be in detroit same as turkoglu he want's out, actually he be perfect in detroit...
As for the 11 million left on Tayshaun Prince contract...who would they use it next year...everyone is free agent this year.
Kinda understand Joe Dumars here, next year there is no one 2 spend it on.
Another thing collective bargain is coming up...and there is gonna be a big change in association when it comes 2 contracts and money...

The only issue is, there's about a 90% chance of a lockout after the 2010-11 season.

well.. they did give Ben Gordon a 50 Mil contract + Charlie, so why not hedo! The only thing that bothered me is the pistons said they're looking to move Prince's contract yet Hedo's contract is probably one of the worst

Gordon's deal was 55Mil and i don't know why they'd want to get rid of an expiring unless it's for a game changer type of player which Hedo is far from. At least, going by his play last season.
