For me it was when I took the elevator down with Primoz Brezec last year at the Westin Harbourfront Hotel. Real nice, classy guy.

Hahaha Popeye, the perfect name for a guy whose appearance was pretty scary...

I've heard Steve Nash is seen pretty often in NYC, so I'll try to make him come to TO if I see him. :dancing:

i was walked past Sam Mitchell a few years ago. I gave him a smile and a nod.

What was he doing on jarvis street, buying hookers?

Superjudge 07-11-2009 11:39 AM

My friend Mike and I saw Alvin Williams at the Government, he was standing with a Raptor scrub, forget who it was, we were buying drinks and kinda having a chuckle over how much of a nerd he was. He looked scared.

Just goes to show you, these guys are real people, they just happen to rock at hoops. Off the court, just regular dudes. Alvin simply didn't seem comfortable in a club environment where he didn't really know anyone. Same as any of us would be.

I saw O-dog at Taco Bell on Yonge St. downtown about 4-5yrs ago when he was with the Blue Jays. He was bigger then i thought he was.

Hedo is probably one of the nicest guys on earth. He will be a fan favorite.

I bumped into Steve Nash on Yonge St. back in the summer of '94 during a 3 on 3 tourny that was going on during the World Championships. He was still @ Santa Clara at the time and was genuinely shocked that someone recognized him. I probably should have gotten him to sign something. Who knew he'd be a 2x MVP?
