Default Hedo Tukoglu another interview!!!

Link...is in turkish...

Sporx.com ? Hidayet: "Hayk?rmak istedi?im ?ey bu" - 28 Haziran 2010 (Sporx Özel)

Anyway...this is what he said...about asking for trade request: whatever i say now can go wrong way, i said that then because it was end of season and eveerythng was still warm... ... all i wanted to say is i dont want to play the same SYSTEM toronto has...

i like the city, people and play there... but they used me wrong.. i know my skills and i was screaming all season that people could use me that way...

and guy asked him, if he had talk with coach about it..
hedo says: coach couldnt say much because toronto had their system and hedo was not big part of it...

question: so if toronto has same system would you like to stay and play or ask for trade?
hedo: i dont think they will use same system... this sytem didnt work for both part... also its not up to me to ask for trade, its up to between teams in the league... all i want is play basketball and practicing very hard..

question: if there are changes in team would you like to play in toronto
hedo: of course, i didnt have problem with anyone so far in my career and it wont now on

question:do you think chris Bosh will leave?

hedo: i dont think so, Bosh is first option in toronto and he wouldnt have that in other team.. of course this is my personal option..

he also talks about he is still upset about nightlife rumors etc... also playing point guard position with jose calderon.. he also said he didnt talk with any team after season.. and also there was question about orlando, he said he made what was best desicion for him and he cant live with past...

Can anyone say Gortat. With the drafting of Daniel Orton, and Bass signed long-term, and free agents Redick and Barnes, Gortat becomes expendable. Gortat and fillers for Hedo.

He always said he was discontent with how he was being used... so it doesn't come a shock to me that Hedo didn't like the system. However, I am surprised that Toronto's system didn't work. When we got Turk, I always thought he would fit in (similar playing style- dominant big surrounded by shooters)

Yeah I agree Js except dominant big men meant a true post center..bosh is a face up, mid range and driving type pf ...not a true dominant big man in the post ...and Bargs well uhm uhm I dunno what to say about the dude except BC needs to fall out of love with the guy...he's 7 footer with an allergy to rebounding and the post.

why would the wizards get turkoglu when they have john wall? turk will be even more useless in washington than he is in toronto

Yeah, I read the same thing although I think maybe we are taking things out of context.

He might have been implying that given the roster that was available the style of play was the only potentially successful style of play available.

Personally, I think it is just damage control. It would be so much simpler if he just said this up front. He didn't because he doesn't mean any of this.

It's either:

A) Make it look like he is ok coming back to get his trade value up
B) Make it look like he is ok coming back because he has been told that he will have to (for the time being) so he better clean up his image a bit.

yeah you're right but not all trades have made sense and if the wizards are looking to dump Gilbert and fast ..they have certain spots they need to fill backup pg and the sf spot ...wizards dont have a sf ...Howard plays the sg and sf...they bring in Turk he can ease Wall into the ball handling load. There are no FA sf that could be signed and I think Turk would be better then any FA sf this yr

Wall/Jose
Howard/Foye/young
Turk/thornton
McGee
Blatche

they pretty thin at the sf spot and could use another ball handler on the court with Wall seeing as he is a stud but dont forget he's a rookie ..so thats my reasoning

I think he should start working his lazy ass first before complaining about the 'system'. That said I believe it is not the system but the players that didn't work for him. Bosh is very different than Howard. He can't position himself around the rim, take the pass and finish like Howard. He can't even finish an alley-oop. He is also not good with pick-n-rolls as he has to think for 5 seconds after getting the ball in his hands. A guy like Amare would be a great fit for Hedo. Hedo has no right to complain though before sweating his ass. I lost my whole respect to him this year.

Henery you always make alot of sense.
It is easy to blame others but sometime you must take responsibility for yourself.
It wasn't the Raptors fault that you showed up out of shape.
It wasn't the Raptors system that made you bad on most of the touches you got.

Every interview he claims that the team didn't have the right "system" and didn't "use his skills".

What are these skills and what system other than "basketball squadron" is he looking to be a part of?
