Head coach: Let's see your pick
Which coach would you sign if you were in BC's position and had any coach to pick from? Whether it be now or last summer. It cannot be coaches like Phil Jackson or Doc Rivers as they are done after this season. Pick a coach you would like to see take this young team to the promise land.
My top 3 picks: 1. Nate McMillan (toughest S.O.B. out there, amazing what he's doing with the Blazers, makes them play 110% no matter who's healthy and who's playing.) 2. Tom Thibodeau (One of the best defensive masters out there, championship experience) 3. Doug Collins (I really like him as a head coach. Used to love listening to him as a commentator. Extremely high basketball IQ along with it looks like a good motivator for the 76ers) Your choice(s): Larry Drew - ATL Tom Thibodeau - CHI Paul Silas - CHA Byron Scott - CLE Rick Carlisle - DAL John Keuster - DET Keith Smart - GS Frank Vogel - IND Vinny Del Negro - LAC Lionel Hollins - MEM Erik Spoelstra - MIA Scott Skiles - MIL Kurt Rambis - MIN Avery Johnson - NJ Monte Williams - NO Mike D'antoni - NY Scott Brooks - OKC Doug Collins - PHI Alvin Gentry - PHO Nate McMillan - POR Paul Westphal - SAC Tyron Corbin - UTA Some free head coaches: Mike Dunleavy, Mike Fratello, Jeff Van Gundy, Eddie Jordan, Mike Brown I took out Jackson, Rivers, Van Gundy, Popovich, Saunders, Adelman, Karl as it seems they could be done in 1-3 years. |

avery johnson. loved him in dallas. that was one balanced team, offensively and defensively and it was not just cause of a good blend of players. their stars, nash, dirk, r not well known for their d but avery got it out of them.

I have been a big Nate McMillan fan since the Seattle days, and seeing as though I followed the Sonics, since back in the Kemp/McDaniels days, I guess I'm a bit biased.
Nate though, has always done a good job, whether he has had talent or not, and the last couple of years show that he also does well with developing youth. |

Blatt or Messina while good coaches, hardly suit to whip a young inexperienced team |
Coach K.
why coach Duke when you can coach the Raptors? |
collins easy, look what he has done with the young and inexperienced sixers. hes made them into a true threat with all their players knowing their roles.
|
Scott Brooks would be nice. He took young and inexperienced Thunder team and transformed them into one of the elite teams in their conference, which is exactly what we are looking for in a head coach here in Toronto.
|
Mike Brown needs a job, I think he got shamboozled by the crappy Cavs trying to make LeBron happy. Cavs best record in league last year, then fired there coach. NICE
