Default Haters: calm down

You hate Bosh/Solomon/Kapono/Calderon/Bargnani.. uhh well not Bargnani anymore Please stop it. They are just players doing what they can. Sometimes things work and sometimes not.

Bosh is a terrific player. He is a 4 that can do almost anything on the floor. He is special but he lacks some skills like toughness against the best players and leadership. Take him for what he is. Garnett was like that (except he is a better defender) in Minnesota but he won the NBA title with the right people around him.

Solomon, although he played a little in the NBA before, is getting used to his new team and the NBA. He has been playing very well lately for a guy paid very little and the role of 2nd/3rd string PG.

Kapono is what he is. He is lazy but he is a sharp shooter. It is BC's mistake to give him that contract. Don't expect him to be a Ray Allen.

Calderon is one of the best PGs but he has been injured. We discussed that a lot. No need to repeat.

Bargnani is still very young for a center. Centers develop later than shorter guys. He is now showing his talent under a better coach. He will get even better in time.

JO trade was a mistake. We could have gotten a starter wing player for Ford and if Jose was healthy we could have done much better than this. Thanks heavens we still have a good team, not anything like Wizards and such.

Kevin Garnett never lacked toughness or leadership. He led a team with Wally Sczerbiak and Latrell Sprewell to the conference finals. Bosh isn't like him, and never will be.

I also think I'd rather be in last place and getting a good draft pick then be in constant mediocrity like the Raptors.

Garnett was in what, his 8th or 9th year in the NBA? How can you say Bosh wouldn't be capable of achieving something similar in 2 or 3 years?

Because Bosh has never played defense anywhere near the quality of Kevin Garnett, at any point in his career.

Also...he lacks the same kind of mental toughness.

Don't you remember how his shook and missed both when he took the free throws in the dying seconds against the LA? and that he failed to carry his team to a second round in the playoffs over and over and he was criticized a lot for that?

Yeah I bet there was an alternate version of Dogbert hounding Timerwolves forums with criticisms about Garnett's game back then too.

If we were to trade Bosh I can see it playing out much the same as the way it did for Minnesota when Garnett was traded.

Never said Garnett hadn't choked before. Just that he did a lot more with less than Bosh has, and is a far better player than him.

Yeah, because we're in such an awesome situation right now. We'd never want to change this.

I think maybe you underestimate the effect that veteran leadership had on that team.

Sam Cassell in his 11th year
Garnett in his 9th
Sprewell in his 12th

Hell half the people on the team had significant experience in the NBA. Give us a veteran with juice left in the legs and 10-12 years NBA experience with multiple trips past the first round in the playoffs and I think we could achieve good results.

Garnett chokes a lot in the playoffs. That's why usually Pierce and when he wasn't effective, Allen was in charge last year in the playoffs.

Kevin Garnett had a worse game Sunday than any game Bosh has had all year. And yeah - all he had in Minny was Spree and Wally. Holy fuck there is some serious craziness around here.

Losing more would be fantastic!!!!!

Bosh has no mental toughness!!!! I suppose he got where he is by simply relying on all that natural talent. The game is so easy for him. He hasn't had to work for a thing. And he hasn't shown an ounce of leadership.

Woohooooo! The internets is a beauty thing!!!!
