I still do not think Hassan Adams is the answer to all raptor wing problems with all due respect. PHX is a contender, but not a champion. BC has done a good job thus far but he needs to stop signing these no name guys because you are not always going to find jamario moon.
OoooooK

No one thinks Hassan Adams is "the answer" to anything besides a minimum salary guy who's going to fill a roster spot and hopefully get a little bit of court time. Any productive play out of him will be a bonus, because he's going to be making Jamario Moon cash. EVERY team in the league features end of the bench spots, and they are all Hassan Adams type players. You'd like our 5th-7th men off the bench to be big name players? You want to bring in a Tim Thomas or an Antoine Walker? Those are the guys filling those spots who aren't "no names", and they're making more money this upcoming year than Hassan Adams will make in his career.

Show me a team in the NBA who doesn't fill the end of their bench with "no names" and I'll show you an NBA team dealing with massive, massive salary issues.

Best case scenario, Hassan becomes another Jamario Moon and contributes while playing decent minutes. Worst case scenario, he makes the minimum and sits on the end of the bench, just like a few players do on every team.

And yeah, screw Colangelo right? He doesn't have a ring! He sucks! Let's run him out of Toronto and bring in a champion!

Let's get Danny Ainge in Toronto so we can suffer through years and years of miserable personnel decisions that luckily results in us having a bunch of young tradeable assets just at the time two aging superstars are demanding trades! Thats how you build a championship team!

Better yet, let's get Pat Riley, so that if we do ever amass the talent to win a ring he can stick a knife in the coaches back in the middle of the season and claim all the credit himself. Thats a true champion!

(I hope the sarcasm has been noted)

Colangelo's track record is likely better than any GM in the league besides R(ing) C(ounting) Buford. And it's pretty easy for Buford to look good when he's had Tim Duncan anchoring his squad for the last decade.

And hey! Look! The Spurs signed DerMarr Johnson last season. What is that stupid GM down there doing signing these no names?

Hopefully he turns out like a jamario and we praise the scouting staff.

The only way we get those Tim Thomas and Antoine Walker type players to be our 6th to 8th spot on the bench if, and only if we improve our core team and prove that we can win 1 or 2 rounds in the playoffs.

When we do that --- big name guys will be happy to take the MLE or MIN to help the Raptors reach the Finals... they will not come here on MIN to help the Raptors win a round in the playoffs!

it doesnt matter if he turns up JM it matters that if the raps needto play him they can and he'll help a liitle. also, it matters that the raps have a roster space filler for MIN.

It would be nice if he turns up like JM though

I was being sarcastic.

Those may well be the two players in the league I would least want to see on the Raptors.

When will the amount be said? I think it'll be around $0.8 million or something. I'm just going by his last contract ($0.68), maybe they'll sign him for just a little more.

I really like this move by BC, it looks like he'll be great.

A little scouting report I found here:

He runs the floor very well, is pretty coordinated, and plays with a good level of fluidity.

Slashing is definitely Adamsí best weapon, where he makes great use of his strength and quickness to create high-percentage shots in the lane. He is very creative with the ball and is certainly not afraid of contact. When Adams wants to, he can usually get to the hole with one or two short, but powerful dribbles. He uses his explosive first step to blow past his man, then with his combination of strength, creativity, and leaping ability, finishes very well at the rim. His strength allows him to maintain good balance even after contact, helping to ensure a high-percentage shot attempt. He utilizes a hop-step move especially well to make use of his explosiveness once in the lane.

what kind of numbers did this guy put up in Europe? Can anyone post a link? Is he a Bruce Bowen type of defender,( I mean elite not dirty...lol) ? I will like him if he brings us a little bit of grit, we need some more slashers to go to the basket. Last year Bosh seemed like the only guy who ever towed the free throw line consistently for us. Although Hopefully JO will help out there as well (free throws).
