I have a feeling that if the trade is close by next wednesday he'll sit out with an "injury".

He will not be traded by the deadline.

The Raptors playoff push will continue with JO on the team contributing in a positive way as he has been all year.

Then we're fucked! Especially when he sprains something again. Keep him, and it means BC is betting he'll stay healthy for the last 27 games therefore possibly raising his value?? I wouldn't take that bet.

He has been fairly healthy as of late and he has contributed well.

The salary will make it hard to trade him until next season or this summer when he accepts the option and becomes an expirer.

Live with JO he isn't all that bad.

-"Healthy as of late"? Ok, how long will that last and if he gets hurt a 3rd time what can we realistically this summer.

-"Hard to trade until next season/this summer"? Well, next season a team isn't gonna give there best players/young talent for JO. In other words you'll get less.Same reason some say trade Bosh now vs next season.

-"Live with JO he isn't that bad"? I like JO, but don't trust his health. And i don't understand how anyone can.

honestly, like i said, he is growing on me, but the price tag is obv way too high, and the real price i would want to give him, like 8mil, he would prob be insulted by. If we could get a real wing or at least cap room to get a real wing, i think it's prob the right move. I would take Iverson or Marion immediately even if Marion is hurt. I really think if BC pushed hard for A.I it wouldnt be impossible, esp with the way Pistons have faltered and the chemistry issues with rip. I think JO would be a good fit for the Pistons, then they can still be a player in 2010. I could be very wrong and Joe might laugh at the deal, who knows, but if he is still possibly available i think you should pull the trigger or even throw in say a Moon if it makes Riley happy. Im not dealing Joey if you are wondering. We will get a good deal for his services i think.

So to make it short, JO seems like a good guy and a decent player, but for the benefit of the team, he has to go IF a real wing is available longterm (unlikely) or immediate capspace + a rented upgrade wing (still plauable, but i dont want that banks contract, which is why i would rather just throw in Moon, he is cheap and ppl see the value).

I think JO makes team better, although records says otherwise. I like him as a player and as a person. Plus he and Bargs actually complement each other.

We need capspace next season, trying to sign our free agents (say Parker, Delfino, Graham, Moon, Nesterovic?)
But we will also need capspace in 2010, for Bosh and Bargs.

Also note last two games, JO was working his ass off, even being noticeably fatigued. Is that a position you put a player in before a trade?

At least I know BC is smarter than most posters in this thread. He won't make a bad move, short term or long term
