Grant Hill anyone?

Now that the Raps have their MLE & LLE, why not a run at Grant Hill? One couldn't think of a better mentor for DeRozen or a better available option for us to start at the 2. If you're Hill, the prospects of winning in Toronto seem far better at this point than what NY and Phoenix can offer. Also, it brings his BLAZING hot wife closer to home and to family. AIt really makes sense on multiple levels as he would bring a professional atmosphere to this team the likes of which it has never known. You would drastically upgrade Parker's locker room presence & talent in one move!

BC, it's looking like you're playing the go big or go home game here, so what could be bigger at this point?

Quote:
According to NBA sources, Hill was presented with two offers: a one-year contract worth $5 million or a three-year deal worth $10 million. It is believed that the Suns were hoping to re-sign Hill for two years at approximately $2 million per season. Hill is deciding between Phoenix, Boston and New York but sources close to the player feel that his final decision will come down to the Suns and Knicks because those clubs can offer him a starting job.

He apparently has concerns about uprooting his children again, but those could be rectified with a move to a city so close to his wife's family

I think he'll go to the Celts. If not them then the Knicks. Both teams gave him good offers and I doubt he'll come here

I like it. Derozan needs a mentor.

His production from last year wouldn't be a bad addition.

12 pts, 5 bds, on better than 50% shooting from the field, 80% from the line, and 1.5 turnovers in 30 minutes per game.

Adding his basketball IQ wouldn't kill us either.

I'm not saying this is realistic but it wouldn't be a bad fill for our starting SG.

LOL Since the Raptors always have trouble signing free agents they should send video highlights of Toronto to all NBA wives / gf's. Low crime, decent schooling, clean city... Win the wives over and the guys will sign...

I was saying this before, Hill would be great for this team with his leadership and experience, would provide mentorship and allow DeRozan to ease into the starting sg spot maybe next year. Don't know what it would cost but would be a great move

His wife is R & B singer Tamia. She knows about Toronto. She's from the Windsor area, so I'm sure she's been to Toronto quite a few times.

However, Grant wants a ring, so I don't think he'll be signing here or New York. His best shot would be Boston.

Grant Hill would be perfect for this team because he can handle the ball, is efficient on offence, is good team defender, has got a 3 ball, can pass, drive the lane, lead and finish on the break, hit his foul shots and mentor DD.

Anthony Parker... not so much

All reports allude to him wanting to start. That's not happening in Boston.

Also, wouldn't you do ANYTHING to keep Tamia happy?

Sure, but what makes you think Tamia wants to live in Toronto? Just because she's from here?
