I knew that JO wouldn't press the issue.

He's a vet, he's nursing an injury and he realizes that Bargs is the future and he's playing his ass off.

Completely different situation to Jose and TJ.

JO always says the right things. How much of what he said in the offseason came to pass? I'll need to see some real chemistry develop with this team while he's out there, or to me it's just more talk.

Every player in his position says this for the most part. Let's see where he stands in a few weeks if he hasn't broken, pulled or strained something by then ( long shot)!

IMO, if he plays 5 games and stays healthy trade him. Before he trips on a shoe lace and twists his knee.

That's not my greatest worry. For me it's keeping the team moving towards a real identity that they can sustain. If he can help make that happen then it's all good, but so far I haven't seen that happening.

We'll see! Too many athletes have said this, buying time to see if the other player will struggle down the road and then they can get the starting position again. IMO it's a little early to judge one way or the other.

Am I so blind? Why does every raptor fan and every sports writer just assume that we NEED to trade JO? Why? Do you think he has good value now after injury? Or that we are so stocked in big men? Or that his presence is disruptive? Or that Marion/Nash/Howard/whomever will turn this team around?

Please let me know whats going on

Edit: Or that any other solution is better for free agent market of 2010?

Because the Raps are increadibly weak at the wings and kinda strong at the bigs.

Strong? One month ago consensus was "Bargs is a bust" and "Bosh is a pussy"
Triano turned the team around, allowed players to use their strenghts. But frontcourt of CB+AB is by no means strong.

JO is a winner. He is our only chance for playoff run. Plus Bosh has accepted not being first and only offensive option in beginning of the game, so them playing together will not be as awkward as in November.

And we never get equal value by trading him now, only some huge contracts, some of which can pull a Zo in a heartbeat.

Yeah I agree, what else is he going to say right now other than the "whatever I can do to help the team" kind of comments. Remember TJ said the right things for a week or so when he came back from injury.

I don't doubt that JO might be a stand up guy, but let's wait a bit and see how he actually acts and plays when coming off the bench.
