Steve Nash strongly disputed a report that his back was as "bad as it has ever been" and said that he would like to sign a three-year deal this summer.

"It's been my best year physically from start to finish in a long time," Nash said. "Other than a little tweak (last week) against San Antonio, my back's been pretty close to 100 percent."

Nash is interested in re-signing with the Suns, though he is expected to pursue other options in free agency.

Wouldn't be surprised if Nash end up being oldest nba player ever to retire

And if we were to bring in Nash why keep Jose?
I understand why you might think we wouldn't need both but I would rather see Bayless gone bring in Nash, & have Jose & Nash split minutes at the point guard.

Yes I want my Cake with the cherry on top as well!

Also chances are that Nash will need rest & Jose will get injured, & seeing how there aren't that many point guards in this draft I would rather have the best passing point guard tandem ever, than not.

Plus the fact is that we have so little ball handlers on this team that having Nash or Jose on the court at all times we would never miss a step on offense IMO

Actually, I believe it's Oden.

He was at least 48 as a rookie.

in fact, i think if BC don't spend hismoney before the 1st july, and he can get Nash : raps will be in position of force.

because many team will want jose in desperation to not get dragic or nash.

so we can propose a Trade to portland : jose for batum.

that sound a good plan to me.

i don't know if DanH read this thread, but i will ask him if this is possible :

1. draft marshall.
2. trade tpe + 2*2nd rd for redick
3. offer nash a 10M.
4. Jose + 1st tor for batum.

DID we have enough capspace to do this ?

Nash has 2 interest :
1. bring to toronto more media attention and more fans to the games.
2. being a real teacher, not only for the futur pg, but also because he is a leader whom lead by example.

all those things together are big good reason for BC to go after him.

Draft one next summer. Isn't it a strong PG heavy draft next year? And have him learn under Nash for two seasons.
