Not sure if you guys are serious but Nash is definitely on the decline. Yeah he'd be an upgrade over the PGs we've had in the last decade but at this stage in his career he's better of starting for an ELITE team or coming off the bench for a STRONG team.

As a Nash fan I would also want for him to have a shot at a championship and that is simply not going to happen in Toronto.

Finally please do not even mention D'Antoni - the last 3 seasons in New York have exposed him as being just average.

Isn't that up to him as a FA? What you or i want for him means nothing to him. It's his choice..

Fair enough, so he gives up a shot at a solid playoff run and a possible championship on a contender to take significantly more money on a lottery team? (And yeah we're gonna have to throw alot of money his way).

What kind of attitude will he be bringing to the team if he goes with the latter? And didn't we make a similar mistake with 'The Dream' almost 10 years ago?

Having Nash playing in TO would be great for Canadian basketball.... If we can get him at a reasonable price.. Make it happen

Would make things much easier for Jonas. That's a plus.

Nash makes the game so simple for everybody on the court. Derozan, Amir, Ed, JJ, everybody would benefit.

We would have an honest shot at home court in the East with Nash on board next season. If Bargnani and Nash could stay healthy for three years, and JV is who we think he is, I would dare say we might be contenders.

AGREED! and for Jonas too - making his transition to the NBA even easier... poor kid is going to have a lot of pressure placed on him by fans who have been suffering for years.

If Dallas can win a championship with Kidd as their point guard, and DC can design a system where Calderon looks even passable on D, then he could do the same thing with Nash.

Nash's minutes would slowly be on the decline over his contract, but he would have an amazing affect on others' production while he was in the game. Not to mention he'd be invaluable in grooming another PG.

Even if it's for 2-3 years - as I've said in a previous thread - Nash increases everybody's production, which in turn (if you're going to go that route) increases their trade value.

Why would Nash want to sign with a team that's rebuilding when he's nearing the end of his career? Makes more sense if he goes to DAL if they can't get DH or DW or IND who'll have a ton of cap room in the offseason or POR who will too with Wallace and Crawford leaving.

if we talking dreams...

Nash/Bayless/douglas
Beal/Barbosa
JJ/Kleiza/Forbes
Bargs/Amir
Chandler/JV/Gray

(jose and Demar for Chandler and douglas)

*chandler moved once JV is comfortable as a starter)

the fact that Nash hasnt left Phoenix who are also rebuilding just like the Raptors, makes it possible that he could come here.

My dream offseason. If we got Nash I'd be ecstatic. People say we cant get a top tier free agent, Nash would break that trend and give us credibility, and obviously make us a much better team, instill life in to a garbage organization, and make our young players development that much easier.

bring in D'antoni as the offensive coach......
If you mean assistant, ok. Head coach? GTFO. D'Antoni is awful. He only knows one way to play and he has no idea how to adjust if he doesnt have a top 5 PG. He gets outcoached everytime he is against a top coach, especially in the playoffs, and the word defence has never come out of his mouth. Casey>>>>>>>Dantoni.

Yeah as an assistant he'd be great but I doubt he'd ever take the position it'd make him look bad, like he's not good enough to be a head coach again.

He's got a lot to practice.... if he forgets to work on dribbling he won't have to worry about catching passes from any PG

Nash makes us a contender for the Atlantic.
Philly's playing a bit above their levels.
Boston's close to the grave.
NY is imploding.
NJ, LOL.

Seriously, this move would be insane.
