Default GM after BC

He has a five-year deal worth US$20M and it expires in 2010-11.

Should the Raps begin to look for a new GM?
Re-sign him now?
Give him one more year. Wait and See
OR
Fire Him, which MLSE won't do but its a drastic move and if someone is in line u never know

Look. Teams go through some bad years. It happens. Look at Chicago last season.

Now is not the time to be rash.

Keep him.. give him more time. I'm not saying re-sign him tomorrow to a 10 year extention or anything, but i have a hard time seeing someone better than Colangelo in Toronto now or in the near future.

Losing Colangelo would be bad for the organization. I feel very strongly about this.

I'm already starting to lose faith in Colangelo. So really, at this point I could care less about him staying or leaving. It's clear that no GM can do anything significant with this franchise.

I don't care what has done in the past

I'm looking at the present. He wanted more front office responsibility he got it and now the Raps are a bottom 5 team

BC has his head so far up Peddie's ass. He'll be here for a while.

I never had faith in him in the first place, so this is to be expected.

I don't disagree with BC's vision but I do with its implementation...

He never did.

and i know you don't mean what you posted in your prior post. You're in it too deep to give up.

We're all mad, but trust me, things will get better.

The beauty of sports is that next year is another year and we will have a clean slate. Today sucks, tomorrow won't suck. You can turn around an NBA team quite a lot in one off season.

The fact that "Fire Him" is up there makes no sense to me. We made the playoffs his first two seasons here and now that this season hasn't gone well, let's fire his ass. I believe he'll turn things around for next season. I'm giving him that chance, imo opinion the good he's done far out weighs the bad. If he doesn't do the things this summer for my liking then maybe i'll lose faith in him. He has about 7 months to keep me on board the BC train.

-Hire the right coach
-Keep the pick and draft the right guy (SG)
-Trade Bosh for the right package if he asks to go.
-Re-sign Marion or sign/trade him for another strong SF

BONUSES
-Let AP go
-Bring back Delfino
-Re-sign Joey
-Trade Krapono (Pleeeeeeeeeassse??)

If he can get most of these done then it'll be a good summer. I don't expect all of this to be done, but most of it. BC hates to lose and i believe that he will make the right moves this summer. One bad season won't kill him in my eyes, but 2 will!

But according to all accounts BC has no plans to do most of the things you expect him to... so, then what?

what?

Have you sneaked into Colangelo's office and read the calendar agenda that outlines all the moves he plans to make from today on?

Come on man. you can't criticize something that you have no idea how it will turn out.

I can already see it now, you guys in a few years will say "BRING BC BACK!". I know this because you guys keep talking about bringing TJ back.. bringing Rasho back... bringing Smitch back... bringing VC back... until it will be about bringing the Raps back to Toronto.

BC was on radio last week and said that:

a. he has no intention of moving Bosh
b. he thinks that draft is extremely weak this year
c. he wants AP back
d. he likes what Triano did with Joey & Bargnani and can see him coaching next season.
e. he feels that Kapono hasn't been used properly but that he is a good player...

Well,

-He said he'll sign-trade Bosh if he doesn't want to stay
-I belive he'll can Triano and hire "his guy"
-He says he plans on keeping the draft pick this season
-He says he plans on bringing back Delfino
-He says if Marion isn't staying he'd like to do a sign and trade
-He will re-sign Joey

So that is pretty much most of what's on my list.

a. Will sign and trade him if he wants to go (his words on FAN 590)
b. He said the draft is weak outside the lottery (we'll be in the lottery)
c.That would be ok i guess, if we pay him less as a backup
d.Trust me, Triano won't be here next season.
e. I think he'd dump his salary in a heartbeat if a decent deal would come up.
