Give This Guy Some Credit

To start this off Im gonna admit that Im not an active member here and probably don't have a big grasp of everyones opinion on these boards.

I was looking through some threads and was readings some posts on what people think of Bosh and his status here in Toronto and his future. People are posting things like:

"Lets get Amir in the starting lineup, he's just as good as Bosh"
"Let Hedo play the 4, and get Sonny in the starting lineup"
"Forget Bosh let him leave he's not getting us anywhere"

Lets get Bosh some credit. He's putting 24 a night and can explode for over 30 on any given night. He shoots over 50% from the field, and almost 80% from the free throw line. Lets not forget the 11.5 rebounds he gets for us every night. More importantly lets think of where the hell the Raptors would be without him.

Bosh gets all of credit in the world.

I mean how many times have we talked about him as a top tier player and as one of the best PFs in the game?

also, i think some of those comments were said in jest.

When i first glanced at this thread and saw Amir's name, i thought it was going to be about giving Johnson more credit.... and i was like yeah - Amir has been pretty huge for us this year.

So i will give Amir more credit than i have in the past. His athleticism and work ethic have been big factors in our success and I love watching him and Jose play together.

Nice to see you active Njdeh, but I hope you realise that people were being sarcastic in those quotes.

Lol ok thanks guys I've realized now that those were sarcastic but in general this guy doesn't get the attention he deserves. Dwayne Wade carried the Heat to a few games above 500 just as Bosh is doing and Wade was getting MVP attention. Wade was averaging 30 and Bosh is averaging 24 but he's a big man and doesn't constantly have the ball in his hands. All I'm trying to say is this guy is the future of the 4 spot in the NBA and for what he does he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Mwah, he is getting plenty recognition imo. He's a 4 time All Star (could've been 5) while his team hasn't won that much in 5 years. He is an undisputed max contract guy and since the LeBron to NY stories got really really old and milked Bosh is the primary subject of all the 2010 talk.

and that leading his team to a little over .500 is not superimpressive really, I think his stats are more impressive for one thing, I mean it's not like he only has scrubs to play with, this is a legitimate team. And the Raptors are still fringe top 10 in record (not since december but the whole season).

That being said he is in the top 10 of the MVP race watch and what not, so I think he can't complain.

Is that really true fancy?

Because the cries of "I would trade Bosh for Randolph/Amare/Boozer/Brand/Beasley" still ring in my ears.

It wasn't too long ago that people were questioning whether or not Bosh was worth a max contract.

So tell me.... how much respect does he get....?

He gets taken for granted, and he does need to win a little bigger if he is going to change that. I'm hoping that happens. A solid, competitive showing in the playoffs would put a lot of things to bed, and allow the team to move onward from there.
