Get TJ Ford out of Toronto signs.

TJ Ford has completely lost it guys, the selfish little shit when off and took 23 shots in 27 minutes. Its time to put pressure on BC to unload this guy. So lets see what kind of signs we can make for our next home game. Here are some ideas.

1. TJ FORD FOR SALE AS IS NO REFUNDS

2. THE LITTLE ENGINE IS A LEMON

Just can't wait to see how creative we raptor fans will be and accelerate the push to kick TJ FORD off our island.

How about a big picture of calvin from calvin and hobbes pissing on a ford sign.

I'm just taking this as sarcasm, cause TJ kept us in the game last night.

Tj is having a tough time.

There'sa lot going on in his mind.

I hope he can get it figured out

Ball Don't Lie 03-12-2008 12:42 PM

Lets run down this season for Raptor fans who overreact:

1. Get rid of Bosh, hes lost a step, he cant do it anymore. Hes only a 16+10 guy(start of year)

2. Humphries is amazing! 5 games in a row, hes our new 7th man!

3. Bargs sucks! BUST! Worse than Hoffa!(after his injury)

4. Get Moon out of the starting lineup for Count Chuckula(after a stretch of 4 meh games after having a very productive starting stint)

And now, the most popular:

5. TJ Ford sucks. Hes a ballhoggingdouchebag. I hATE TJ!1111!!!!

Like I said in the Moon thread especially, quit overreacting. Once Bosh gets back things will be a lot different with TJ. Mitchell will stop calling his number everytime down and he'll go back to being under control tj like pre injury when he was playing probably his best ball ever. Another 5 game overreaction, typical of Raptor fans. Yeah, lets bring a hate filled sign to the game so we can run another very good player out of town in his worst hour even though its obvious hes going to get better as the season winds down! Yeah, lets make him hate Toronto so he can demand out in the offseason and we get nothing for him because hes forced our hand! Yeah! Go Raptors fans!

Superjudge 03-12-2008 01:08 PM

1. Get rid of Bosh, hes lost a step, he cant do it anymore. Hes only a 16+10 guy(start of year)

Getting rid of him is crazy talk, I agree. Makeing him tougher and more durable.....?

2. Humphries is amazing! 5 games in a row, hes our new 7th man!

Bosh was out, he stepped up ver nicely with extended minutes. Bosh back, he's reduced, and playing with zero confidence. I stand behind supporting Hump, he' slike a lot of guys, with confidence and added responsibility comes better play

3. Bargs sucks! BUST! Worse than Hoffa!(after his injury)

Again, crazy talk, however some night....he does frighten me a little

4. Get Moon out of the starting lineup for Count Chuckula(after a stretch of 4 meh games after having a very productive starting stint)

The moon-delfino platoon is fine. They both have attributes, they both have fault. Your hatred for Delphino is odd.

And now, the most popular:

5. TJ Ford sucks. Hes a ballhoggingdouchebag. I hATE TJ!1111!!!!

Again, agreed. He doesn't suck, but he isn't a fit in Toronto like Calderon is. He also aint gonna be a back up. Calling him a douchebag, or saying he's a bastard is just unfair. I'm sure he's got lots on his mind, nd im sure there's lots we dont know, I just wosh he'd handle it a bit better. It's a learning curve

INSIDER 03-12-2008 02:53 PM

wow....
i'm all for trading the guy and while i dont agree with the booing, i do understand it and dont hate the fans for it... but 'get ford outta toronto' signs?
thats a bit over the top... and will only hurt our cause.

if we want to get something decent in return, we have to hope he plays well and showcases himself for the league...

i still have this lingering hope that he'll snap out of this and play like he did last season... but i really am losing faith.

canada_rocks2369 03-12-2008 03:55 PM

I agree that TJ is better with Bosh in the lineup because he doesnt feel like he has to do it all himself. He is first and foremost a competitor but often gets too carried away and forgets to use his teammates. I also think hes a worse player overall coming off of the bench because he tries to make sure he gets his even though hes playing limited minutes. Whenever he sees Jose go to the scorers table its almost like he tries to get as many shots in as possible before the whistle blows and hes gotta sit.
Regardless, I honestly believe that, at both of their peaks, Jose is better for the team. While TJ is a better scorer and can occasionally take over a game, Jose is a better distributor and with all the Raptors shooters thats what u need. Hes also a better shooter himself and that helps open it up for everyone else. Plus there is TJs injury concerns to worry about and that potential inconsistency is not what u want out of your starting PG.
Personally, I would say to trade Ford not because hes "bad for the team" or anything, but because Jose is better and could easily handle another 10mins per game. I know the Raps struggled a little with TJ out earlier, but that was because u had a shooter (Dixon) backing up Jose (and doing a very poor job of it). This forced Jose to play over 40mins per game which he was not used to and had him wore out, but even still he played better than any of us anticipated. As long as he had even a capable backup, even for only 15mins a game, Jose, and the Raptors, would be fine.
I think the main motivation for moving TJ wouldn't necessarily be to get him out but for what he could bring back in which would help the Raptors more. The Raptors have glaring needs at other positions and TJ would be much more effective on another team in need of a starting PG. What if he brought back a player like Corey Maggette, Andres Nocioni, or Richard Jefferson, a starter who could seriously impact a game (while fitting in) the way a backup PG like TJ never could? Would u argue then? I'm not questioning TJs abilities, I'm saying that they are being wasted playing only 20-some mins a game (and rightly so because Jose deserves the minutes). I think people get caught up on his production last year, but even if he returned to that (which he wont cuz he doesnt get the minutes) I would still rather have Jose so it doesnt matter. As much as I hate to say it, cuz I'm a fan of his, but Fords value is higher as part of a trade than as a backup PG. Besides, I really don't think hes happy being a backup anyway which is what he'd have to be for the Raptors for the forseeable future.

INSIDER 03-12-2008 04:24 PM

ford's only better with Bosh in the lineup because thats the only guy he passes to.

The MVP of West Hollywood 03-12-2008 06:52 PM

I'm surprised people weren't more angry about last night, and actually defending him for "keeping us in the game!" I don't care that we lost or how much we lost by, it would've been a miracle to beat LA on the road without Bosh, what I do care about is a player continuing to play me-first ball in an organization incredibly built towards the team.

The only difference between last night and Orlando was that he was making shats and not turning it over last night. He was still playing selfish though.
