It's very difficult to find people who are able to tell you what they really think (hey, that's not cool), unless they win something. And I don't watch what Mike can win with this.

What's my point? That it was just an advice, maybe a private had been better. As usual JMO.

Thanks for all the support. By the way I have great news I have now bought my .com name so I am excited about that. As for Mike, he is not the first to take issue with my writing. It is ok. I honestly do try my best to improve that aspect. I did make changes based on things he pointed out. But I do agree as far as the internet goes I am far from the number one offender in abuse of english language.

As for the self promotion aspect. I was invited here..I was invited to share my content. Which is what I have done. Besides the Main Stream Media never promote anything do they? LOL

snooch - thanks for that. wiki may have given us the best definition ever:

Devlin certainly gives a more sophisticated feel to our announcing teams, but I would have loved to have had Devlin with Chuck being the colour guy - if at all possible. Would have been fun to hear.

Raptor fans love to replace anything old with something new. The fans will love him for a while and then hate on him when someone else comes along. Devlin's gonna be an "alright" commentator.

Next time Mike, please PM Dino Blogger or anyone else for that reason when critiquing one's efforts. Freedom of speech is one thing, but being rude and insulting is another.

Thanks again Dino.

I absolutely fail to see where I was rude or insulting. This society has come to a point where anything above and beyond pat on a back and a "good job" is considered impolite - an alarming trend, the way I see it.

Dude has to improve his writing, big time, he himself acknowledged as much. I probably should have written him a private message and would have done so, except for the fact that he is striving to be a sports writer of note, read by many and exposed to the mainstream media via the type of people he interviews. Therefore, some public criticism, IMHO, was supposed to be good for an aspiring author.

Doc, you will not tell me whom I should or should not critique or how I should go about it.

Let me try to put an end to all of this. First off if you are going to being going on about the way people write maybe DUDE is not exactly the right way to go about it. I honestly am not that concerned about the way Mike went about what he did. Do I honestly think he has my best intentions at heart? Not really nor do I care. I have taken my fair share of abuse and praise. It is part of getting known I guess. I am not worried much about it. The people I interview are happy with work I do. They wouldn't return to the blog if they were not. In the end I thank the people that showed me support not being here long it was nice to see. In the end everyone has strong and weak points. I get great people as guest and I think ask great questions and get interesting responses. Ultimately that is I think what people take away from these things. If it was up to me I'd perfer to be talking with the people I do on the Radio and not in my blog. But for reasons that are personal that can't happen. So I do the best with what I have.

Hopefully that puts an end to it. Next time I have an interview I will do my best same as this. People will read it because they want to hear from that person at the end of the day and not me. All the other days they hear from me.

Coltrane, he hardly needs an encouragement, IMO, when his belated response only serves to reinforce my original point.

Blogger, "dude" is a widely accepted form of adressing others on these message boards. It's not an insult and wasn't meant as one. On the other hand:

1. Instead of "if you are going to being going on" perhaps you should've said "if you are going to be going on".

2. It'd be nice not to start two sentences in a row with "In the end".

3. You can't get great people as "guest" - it's plural.

I could go on, but it's apparently pointless. You are getting this "lesson" only because you chose to believe that I had something other than your betterment as an aspiring writer in mind. Read Ray Bradbury's "Here There Be Tygers" for further references.

Dixi.
