Well, this is news to me and should put to rest the rumours about BC acquiring Wallace. If dealt to Toronto Gerald would apparently pull an "Alonzo" anyways.

Lol! Awesome! I remember when Sam Cassell and Kendall Gill said that they'd rather retire than play for the Raps.... nice to see that we've gained some respect in the eyes of players around the league.

Massive Headwound Gerry can stay in the states anyway for all I care...

Interesting article though. If Colangelo really believes this is the best roster he's assembled since he's been here, he's not as smart as he looks. It may have some of the best individual talent, but certainly overall talent is at an all-time low.

Like duh ... it has nothing to do with the talent on the team but everything to do with the incompetent coaching. Where have you been Acie?

I've been on hiatus. I hired a replacement for myself and they have been posting for me for the last three years. What did I miss?

gerald wallace is like a more consistent moon but is injured like half the season
basically he gets u some hustle here and there and has a chance to breakout for a good game but generally he just grabs scraps and his contract is too much

Come on, let's not pretend that half the board in here wasn't salivating over him before reading these comments. He's a good player. Yes, he gets hurt a lot. I think it would have been good to have him here, but if he's not willing to come, then don't try to change his mind. There are options around, but right now, I don't think there's any need to rush into anything, especially with Triano taking over. Just ride it out for a while.

He would have been a rental anyway. It would have been nice to have a great rebounding frontline with him at the 3, but if he has more than a year or two on his contract it wouldnt be worth it honestly. He could be one of those players who looks very good on a bad team but once he goes to a good team as a 4th or 5th option he'll look like shit.

That and hes injury prone.

I wouldnt have minded him honestly if we got him for real cheap, but he obviously isnt the solution at sf longterm most of us have in mind.

F*** Gerald Wallace. He can go suck a lemon.

I don't care how good he might be we don't need anybody with that kind of attitude.

You know from first hand experience that being an ignorant goof is enough to inspire a cult following? Your logic is pretty sketchy there, not to mention that the idea of Sam and TJ having a cult following is nonsensical.

LOL ... he plays for Bobcats, for crying out loud, and he doesn't want to play for Raptors? Something is not right on his head.

Most of these sentiments are still with the idea that sam is coaching this team. Depending on what Triano does, a player like Wallace might fit right in, but he's got the Salmonella (the illusory spiritual syndrom to reject all things canadian) so who cares anyway.

In Sam's system lacking a jump shot would've only made him look like an overpriced jump shooter, but in an uptempo system, his athleticism, shot blocking ability, and finishing off-the-dribble would be an asset more than an hindrance. if his free throw percentage was a lot better he'd be more deadlier than he is. I actually like his game, but I'm waiting to see how this team reacts to Triano's ideas.
