Default Is Gay injured?

In the game against Washington Gay got hit in the right arm and was holding his bicep and seemed to be injured. After that his shot looked off.

In yesterdays game he was wearing a sleeve over the arm and when he pulled it down his bicep was heavily taped. I am pretty sure he is injured and being his shooting arm might account for the bad shooting yesterday.

Did anyone else notice this?

Well he shot pretty badly against the Knicks too, before the break. I wouldn't think anything of it.

No excuse for the poor shot selection in the fourth. 5 straight plays where he attacked the basket blindly.

But did you notice all 5 plays he only went left. He will always have bad shot selection, it is who he is, but I do think that he is injured right now. I will keep my eye on him on friday.

Yeah I noticed that too. He was holding his arm in pain during that game. He may also have tweaked an ankle because I saw him limping after a play around the end of that game.

Barring the fact that no one should wish harm to any other, what are your motivations for such a nice desire?

because he looked bad the last few games. I can understand and excuse it if he's playing hurt. However if he can be that bad at 100%, then this is cause for some concern.

It has nothing to do with wishing harm on anyone.

Sometimes you go through a bad stretch of games, I'm not too worried about it.

He injured his right hamstring in the second quarter on Tues against Wash and came out of the game for a few minutes, went back in, but wasn't 100 %.

Admidst all the honeymooning and vast improvement of our team, there is the fact that Gay is only shooting an almost Alan Anderson-esque 38% from the field for us, and was already shooting a career low 40.8% from the field for Memphis. Undoubtedly, this inefficiency helped us land Gay in a trade since Hollinger is so obsessed with advanced statistics (Gay's PER has dipped to below 15.0 per game and his true shooting % is an abysmal 47%; good for 60th on the list of small forwards, or 291st in the league overall!).

He shot well in his first two games for us (just under 50%), and then pretty abysmally after that. I have no doubt that as he gets settled in to the team his shooting will improve. However, he's definitely not shooting well right now. One factor that hasn't been brought up too much, though, is that since coming to the Raptors, he's getting a Demar Derozan esque level of respect from the refs (read: not too much). He's had 2-3 drives per game where he gets mugged by 1 or 2 defenders, gets no call, and therefore misses a makeable shot. This can't continue forever; he has to get SOME level of credit from the refs over the season.

...With all that said, we can't knock him too much. He already hit a couple of game winners for us. In the game against Memphis, it was tied 77-77, and Rudy missed a J that was at the end of a run for us that could have given us the momentum to beat them.
