Default Garbo's Close But No Cigar

Back practicing and draining shot after shot but as per Doug's comments today in his blog don't expect Jorge to be back to help out this season especially down the stretch. It's a shame, because we definitely could use him at this point.

Alas, it was a pretty much a mirage.

The whispers after were that while hes coming along nicely, its less than a remote possibility that he gets a uniform on at any time this season.

Too bad but I think you can all put away any hopes of the veteran coming to the rescue down the stretch.

Pretty much what we all expected, he will be ready for the next season. He is a warrior.

GARBOOOOO, i just realized that our Raptors haven't been fully healthy since last season basically. We'd be a scary team if everyone is clicking health-wise.

I've heard Sam on the FAN this morning, and he was very categoric that Garbo will not play this season, so don't get your hopes too high.

I think he is..and I agree...maybe not scary, but we'd be challenging Orlando for 3rd seed this year if TJ, Garbo and Bosh never got hurt. We were a 50 win team that suffered from serious injury setbacks. Life goes on.

every team has injuries to battle with. if we didn't have any, of course we'd be better, but the same thing could be said about almost any team. Look what the Wiz accomplished this year.

Sure, i'm not saying we're any different...but its' still fair to wonder what if we were healthy

Regarding the Wiz though..they still have 2 all stars ... + Dave Hopla.

wow, cant a man fantasize about what COULD BE... I guess what i miss is the team we had on the court last year. Competitive, hungry and everyone was clicking for the most part.

well then, say that "we'd scare the hell out of Orlando" ... Garbo or no Garbo, Bosh or no Bosh, Boston and Detroit are not going to lose one second of sleep over us. Probably Cleveland too. I can guarantee you that right now Philadelphia and Wizards would feel they'd be favorites against us as well ....
