Game Thread: Toronto Raptors 97 - New Orleans Hornets 92 (F)

Hey guys, sorry but no fancy graphics for tonight's game thread. I won't have much time today, so unless someone else wants to give it a shot, we'll just have to stick with this boring game thread instead. :(

INSIDER 12-31-2007 10:39 AM

its all good doc... you'll be wasting your time, seeing as how we'll get pounded by the hornets!
CP3 is going to shred us to pieces.
watch Mo bomb 6 threes. even Peja will go off.
and west and chandler grab 15 boards each.

Dr. J. Naismith 12-31-2007 11:34 AM

I'm more concerned about West and Chandler raping our weak front court. :(

I'll give you guys the 'Coaches Edge' before it even happens:

Stop Paul penetration
Keep Chandler off boards
Get out on 3 point line.

We always play them tough so I expect nothing less. Raps win.

Big game for Bargs tonight, as well as Kapono....Bosh continues to struggle.

Raps pull off a tight win 100-95.

I can't believe I am missing the start of the Raptors game for the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl. I mean, really.

Torontosaurus 12-31-2007 08:28 PM

So far, so good. I could actually see the gears in Bosh's mind switch when he had the ball in the high post => no jumpshots, take it to the rim!

Dr. J. Naismith 12-31-2007 11:48 PM

Nice win and great performance from all our starters, especially Bosh, Jose, Bargs and Moon. Andrea's performance was encouraging, but I'm still concerned that someone that big is still getting only 1-2 rebounds a game. Ah well, baby steps I guess but a great way to finish off 2007. :)

Andrea played good D out there and looked confident on offence, hopefully he'll start putting together the points and rebounds soon enough. I think the most encouraging thing was him taking his time on his moves, and also getting to the rim pretty smoothly. Gotta love the 6 FT attempts, and that one sick one dribble pullup he did. The real Drea is starting to come back.
