Prediction

- 90
- 98

Unfortunately I don't see the Pistons playing two consecutive terrible games. And considering they are 13-3 on home court, I don't like our chances for tonight.

Predict and discuss!

Maybe Detroit will still have a hangover... but then again, the opposite might happen. Hopefully we play tough in the middle and get some rebounds. Bargnani with a breakout game to silence the critics:

Raps - 89
Pistons - 85

GO RAPS!

seeing as this is going to be the first of a back to back for us, i can't see our key guys logging the kind of minutes they did against Portland. No, i'm afraid we're going to see more of Darrick Martin or Juan Dixon. So all in all, i'm not very optimistic about tonight's battle.

We'll see just how things go , but hopefully we'll just be entertained is all.

If that happens, I'll shave my head and grow a beard.

Doesn't matter who's on him whether its Wallace, McDyess or even Maxiell for that reason, I don't see Andrea having a breakout game against a defence like the Pistons.

Well he did drop 25 on them last time out... that said i expect them to be better prepared this time around.

What he needs to do is just shoot... so many times this year he doesn't shoot...as if he's going to get blocked out at the 3 pt line! Jebus man SHOOT THE BALL!

True, but higher percentage shots. Too many times this season Bargnani has rushed his shot. He's needs to get better positioning which would allow him to take some of those high percentage shots. Lately it seems that as soon as the ball touches his hands he doesn't even look at the hoop and just chucks the ball up.

Well i'm referring to the top of the 3pt circle..which for him last year was a high percentage shot He still curls off the screen there and recieves the pass...but rather than shoot right away in the flow..he thinks about it, and then dishes it off. I'd rather him take it and see Bosh and Moon go after the rebound until they start falling again.

he's obviously not shooting because he's beeing told not to. They keep pressing him to go down-low, so he's afraid to take 3pt shots. Too bad when he gets in the post, he rarely receives the ball, and usually way too late.

Are you sure that's obvious? I think it's his confidence afterall the only person I can recall Sam telling not to shoot is Jamario from 3. Everyone else is okay to shoot when they're open and Andrea being 7 ft tall out at the perimeter is basically unblockable and thus practically always open. They were shots he took last year and early in the season and they're shots he's not taking now. I'm not so sure i believe its' because he's been instructed not to... not much other reason to be standing out there with his hands out

bargnani has looked aweful most of the year from wherever he's played. beyond the arc or not it frankly doesnt matter at this point. his shot has regressed into one where i cringe everytime he lets it go. its flat and when he misses, he misses badly. i've stopped predicting breakout games, because he's had a couple where it looked he was going to get back to where he was last year, which isnt saying much because he didnt exactly set the world on fire last year either, though he looked good up until the appendectomy.
im witholding my optimism until his play becomes consistently tolerable over a stretch of 10-12 games.

Great run by To, perfect offense, almost perfect defense in the last two plays

51-50 game at halftime, haven't seen much of the game but from looking at the statistics I see that we are shooting 51% where the Pistons are shooting 47%. Still, we are down by 1 51-50 (no Hurricane Chris).

Chris Bosh and Anthony Parker have 10 points each at the half, and I hope they keep it up in the 2nd half. Carlos Delfino seems to enjoy playing against his former team as he has 14 points at the half. Jose with 8 points and 5 assists so far.

On the Pistons side, Richard Hamilton with 15 points to lead all scorers I believe. He's doing so on 6-8 shooting including 3-3 behind the arc. Billups with 12 points on 2-3 shooting behind the 3 point line and 2-6 overall.

Looks to be a nice tight contest and hopefully it stays that way til the end and we get a chance to steal one in Detroit.
