Pickstar doesn't post much, but he's all quality.

There are a lot of things that I don't like about Sam's coaching style and philosophy but the most annoying has to be the random substitutions. They completely kill a players rhythm and put them on edge and looking over their shoulder for no reason. I can give specific examples about Hump, Forderon, Kapono, Graham etc. but I'll just point out Bargnani. Why does Sam feel the urge to take him out after two fouls? Let him foul out!!! Who cares? Let him play through his mistakes knowing that he's going to get 20 minutes in the first half to establish himself. Why even bother "saving" him for later if he's playing like shit already?

I hate the Bargnani pick but Sam's not helping through his erratic subs and unpredictable PT. Just one of many things wrong with our rotations. I'll point out one more before I go to bed: Joey Graham. He will get 5 straight DNPCDs and suddenly get inserted in the first quarter of some random game. WTF? If he's good enough to come out off the bench in the first quarter, then he's not bad enough to get 5 straight DNPCDs. If he's bad enough to get 5 straight DNPCDs, he's not good enough to come in the first quarter!

First post in here.

That game was brutal. TJ Ford has become a problem in this team. I don't know what he is trying to prove but his selfish play and attitude has affected the team as a whole. What I don't understand is why Sam kept him in the lineup when it was obvious he became detrimental to the team. It took him ONLY 5 minutes to screw up what the whole team worked on for a full quarter.

This guy SHOULD be traded. BTW, I'm not saying this only because of his latest antics. I've never been a fan of TJ Ford. For me he is a ballhog and a selfish player.

Uh, he didn't take him out after two fouls yesterday and on more than one occasion lately he hasn't and when he has recently pulled him, more than once (Golden State being a prime example) Bargs has responded with a strong second half.

Re: Joey. Sometimes you've got shake things up or maybe Joey matches up well with someone. Also, if no one's going why not see if you can get something out of Joey.

Welcome aboard, but sorry, you'd be hard pressed to find a team willing to take a guy with over 24 million owing, with a bad attitude and who's at any moment one fall away from missing 20 games or even worse never playing again.

Thanks for the welcome.

I am alluding to the fact that PGs are not that plentiful. Some teams might be willing to take the same risk the Raptors took when he signed with them. Like I said, I've never been one of Ford's fans but I honestly think there is a team out there who would be able to benefit from his style of play including his propensity to hog the ball and wanting to be in the "limelight" all the time. I'm sure BC can be creative in this aspect. Also, this 2 PG system is not going to work. And between the 2 of them, I'll take Jose Calderon ANYTIME.

Default aahhhhh!

Why...why...why does Sam keep putting Ford back in? Bench that selfish ball hog. Calderon plays a much more balanced ball game. Watch when Jose plays...his head is always up...looking for the pass, keeping the ball alive. Watch when TJ is playing...his head is down...trying to figure out how to get around his guy and throw up some friggen hailmaker of a shot...so he looks good. Example of last nights game...TIED after 3 quarters after Jose plays the 3rd and has 15 points. 4th quarter starts...HERE COMES TJ.....

Ford Jump Shot: Missed
Ford Turnover:Bad Pass (2 TO)
Ford Turnover:Poss Lost Ball Turnover (3 TO)
Ford 3pt Shot: Missed
Ford Jump Shot: Made (7 PTS)
Ford Layup Shot: Missed
Ford Foul:Personal (1 PF)
Ford Foul:Offensive (2 PF)
Ford Turnover:Foul (4 TO)
Ford Foul:Technical (2 PF)
Ford Foul:Technical (2 PF)
Ford Ejection:Second Technical

Now Raptors down by 11 and their team spirit/motivation is shot, after coming out of the 3rd tied and feeling good.

I'm venting......but seriously Sam...you should have pulled him after 2 min of the 4th.

Am i alone on this ??

I don't care if they put the friggen mascot in....

I'm suggesting that Sam should have stuck with what was working for him (3rd quarter lineup), and realized sooner that Ford was bringing them back down AGAIN. Give Jose a 2 min rest, and put him back in. Keep the game in control and they might of had a better shot at a win.

I'm not praising Jose and i'm trying not to shoot down TJ, I guess i'm just venting on this Raptors forum that i just found on the web after googling 'why the Raptors friggen suck right now'

I honestly think h=the whole fanbase needs to rally around Tj and help him out.

He's had a horrible run, and he is clearly dealing with off court stuff.

Or had you all forgotton?

He's just a kid.

Frankly D_Mart would have been the better option. Of course that is hindsight coaching.

I'd like to see the Raps give Wed night off. Tell him not to show up. He will get BOOO'ed when he enters the court.

Yesterday was somewhat of an exception but not really, he actually let him play an entire 5 more minutes before yanking him. I'm saying let him finish the quarter and get a solid run under his belt. One game doesn't do much, Sam needs to let Bargnani play the entire first quarter regardless of two fouls for a few games in a row so that he can get some rhythm and know in his mind that he's playing the first 12 minutes of the game regardless of how bad he might play.
