I think we are going to have a non-shooting TJ for some time. He didnt look confident at all to shoot. Probably he feells he is rusty.
I think that will be good thing for a while

WOW ... talk about top notch distribution last night. Awesome game from start to finish and kudos to both Calderon and Ford.

Also, Bargs with another solid performance and even on the defensive end too. Me likely.

Guys you must remember TJ playing alot of garbage time minutes.Teams are focusing on Jose right now, they know hes the guy thats gets them going. I just enjoy listening to jose when he talks about the team, for example,"We just tried to get everyone involved," said Calderon, who has 19 double-doubles this season. "We just tried to find the wide open guys and not force it. ... Everybody made the extra pass, that's how we beat this team tonight." Folkes Jose was perfect from the field, perfect from 3 pt land and he was perfect from the charity stripe, throw in 10 dimes and 15 pts and you got a young steve nash in the making.Just read what a wolve had to say,

Antoine Walker's 3-pointer with 1:18 to play in the second quarter tied it at 45. But Calderon answered with two 3s to swing the momentum that Toronto carried into the next half.

"Calderon knocking down shots like that is a big momentum changer for them," Corey Brewer said. "They just kept adding it; kept getting momentum and knocking shots down."

Jose used to put up good numbers against second units and in garbage time and people still rode his jock.

Bosh is soft, Mitchell sucks...Kapono is expendable.

If TJ plays like this the rest of the season, I will be one happy camper, this is how he should play. None of you can say this is how he was playing when I was bitching and complaining.

We beat the Wolves..lets not start the parade leaf fans.

Fence-sitter.

I can say that he played very well most of last season, and that it was just as obvious that he was still developing, as it was obvious that Jose would continue to develop, but I believe you chose to simply slag him and insist that this team cannot have both of them, and that anyone who thinks so is delusional.

I don't recall bitching and complaining on your part. I remember definitive statements about how signing Mitchell was an enormous mistake, how TJ is a douchebag, and on and on with the usual short-sighted, misplaced sentiments that you now suggest anyone who might be happy with what they have seen lately is guilty of, with your little comment about the parade. And I'm the smug one.

Ummm where did I sit on the fence.

I still think Miychell sucks...I still think TJ is a douchebag, who since he returned has played the style of play that is better than the one he used too....however a douche he remains.

ANYONE WHO THINKS THAT THIS TEAM CAN KEEP BOTH JOSE AND TJ IS DELUSIONAL.

If you are going to call me out, call me out for something....I don't understand what your issue is, other than needing to take a shot cause you havnt done it in a few weeks. If you are going to paint me as some fair weather fan...at least have something to back it up.

Oh sorry sir. I meant to say:

YES! THIS IS CLEARLY VINDICATION FOR THE GREAT BENZO! When Benzo says that TJ is a douche he means that TJ is actually just not playing the right style which is now sooooo different that Benzo must admit that he is a happy pappy. I guess I just got hung up on semantics again huh?

I believe I called you out for making definitive statements that were incredibly shortsighted, and I stand by that, and will continue to say that you were wrong then, and clearly wrong now. No shot intended. You brought up the whole parade thing, not I.

I prefer Mighty Benzo.

Lets see...what problems did I have with TJ's game...looks for his own shot, plays out of control, doesnt get his teammates involved as he should. Now he is doing that...good for him.

He is a douche because is says some dumbass things...and he douchyness will rear its head soon.

You call me shortsighted...well I suppose that easy without having a real opinion on anything.

Another strike for Acie.

The thing that consistantly dispoints me about Jose fans is that they(not all, but many) shread Tj and always come up with trade scenario's for him... and they point to Jose's offensive numbers as the main reason for keeping him.

The bottom line is wins... and i'm really hoping that if Sam decides to keep Jose as the starter even after TJ returns to 100% that we can get a better record...games against the Clippers just shouldn't happen for this team. Few can argue Tj's a better defensive guard than Jose, but few will admit how important that is...having him on the court for only 12 minutes really hurts us defensively in my opinion...games like last night in terms of their minutes distribution is a lot more effective for the overall team goal of winning games.

you're very wrong - we like Jose better because he's a steadier player, we all consider them aproximately equal in value, TJ break the defense and Jose shoots the lights out. They're both equally average on D. However, the major difference is that once in a while, especially in times of trouble, TJ goes awry, he tries to win by itself, which usually results in failure, while Jose will (almost) always keep his poise.

But beyond all this, the reason we don't even consider trading Jose is TJ's injury. Before that, trading Jose was an option. All things being equal, we'd still have kept Jose, but in the end, there wasn't much difference in having one over the other. Unfortunately, after TJ's retierement fears - I would be EXTREMELY uncomfortable relying on him, at least until we get a very competent backup.
