true, calde and Bosh were having a perfect game, but the rest of the team decided to completely suck (well except maybe humps), we didnt deserve to win.

Bosh sucked big time after the break, but not through his fault necessarily. He was killed physically on defense, and had little left on offense. In overtime he was outright horrible, with those long jumpers and 3pt shots, plus getting outrebounded. But again, I blame sam for that. And delfino didn't do anything, Parker tried, but shots didn't fall, but at least he did make some attempts to penetrate. Delfino just hovered on the perimeter, probably afraid of Blatche ...

I don't rant often, but now I will - Another game we should have won but lost due to poor rebounding and hustle! We were out-hustled!

We are not going to make any serious noise in the playoffs with this very obvious weakness. Cmon BC, go out there and help the Cavs get Kidd and get us Varejao in return!

Ok, rant over!

These guys need to stop toying with my emotions.

I applaud the effort of the Wiz players, but whether it's the homer in me or not, I couldn't help but think that 75% of their offensive rebounds where they climbed our backs were loose ball fouls.

true, they played very physically, but who stopped us to climb on their backs too ... What really pissed me off is that we lost this game twice, I turned off the TV after Kapono lost the game with 10 seconds left, and then I went upstairs and looked on yahoo to see the other results, and suddenly I see that we tied the game .... I run downstairs to see the overtime, only to lose again ... very depressing ...

This loss just proves that our win against a team like the Celts was a fluke too. If we can't beat a team like Washington who outside of Antawn are a bunch of scrubs, then how can we be taken serious. Disgusting loss.

I don't know Doc. I wouldn't say fluke. SA lost to the Sonics last night... can we take them seriously?

My point is that the Raps played like shit last night, no doubt, but they played extremely well against the Celts too. The Raps are capable of extraordinary things, but they're capable to coming out flat and having turrible games as well. It's consistency that's needed. Disappointing loss, yes, but it's not indicative of any standard of quality. That's precisely the problem. We just never know which Raps team will show up.

Let's pause and reflect, Doc... Yeah it was a shitty loss and yeah we SHOULD have beat Washington, but they're not that bad. To call them a team of scrubs is pretty exagerated. They're a bonified playoff team in the east without Gilbert. and Toronto shot like crap all game long outside of Bosh and Calderon. When we're shitty in what is usually our greatest strength, then it'll always be hard to come out victorius.

Anyways, sometimes i see these "lack of hustle" losses as a good thing - a nessesary evil if you will. This raptor team is far from dominant when people see what their weaknesses really are - rebounding and hustle.

Say we go on to win yesterday - everyone starts talking about how awesome Toronto is and how we're a top team in the east, and how we're seperating ourselves from the pack, blah blah blah. Now we're brought back to reality.

So far, the Raptors have responded well when they've gotten out-hustled like they did last night. We'll see tonight i guess.

A loss like last night hurts, but the fact that despite playing so shitty they refused to die (with a bit of luck of course) is somewhat of a silver lining for me.

I'm sorry, but no Arenas and no Butler means the only true impact player that have is Jamison. Exaggerated maybe with the scrubs reference, but there's no excuse to lose to guys like Mason, Daniels, Blatche and Songaila. Box out and grab a fuckin' board Raptors. Their rebounding is getting more and more disgusting as each game goes by.

Definitely an area that needs to be addressed more then the need for PG insurance.

When is the NBA trade deadline anyways?

My question is, If you are willing to run Bosh out there for 50mins. Why have Jose riding pine for as long as he did in the forth? If you want to get the game..GET IT.

If anything, I was impressed by the Wizards. Eddie Jordan KNOWS that team and it reminded me of the dark ages of the Raptor franchise when we would throw out Pap Sow in our starting line up and come out with a win against San Antonio or another top team. We would show hustle for that one game, and heart and desire. But eventually we sucked. Without Butler and Arenas this will happen to the Wiz.

However, tonight, I fully expect a blow out. I don't think it'll even be close.

Blatche, I'm sorry, but is extremely overrated. I just don't see it with him. Fancy brought up the great point of over the back fouls. I counted about 7 in the final quarter that weren't called. It was expected though.

But what killed us, was simply lack of ball movement. All our guys out on the perimeter doing nothing. Delfino waiting to shoot, AP waiting. And once the ball moved maybe once on the perimeter the shot flew. What astounds me is that we had a mismatch ALL game long with Bosh in the interior and in the third we never fed him. Why? Establish the interior presence and then kick the ball out. It's basketball 101. But no, we did the opposite.

If anything, this game showed me the ugly side of this team. The tendency to play selfish at points and worry about stats only. It doesn't happen often, but when it does we inevitably lose.

That's a great question. Why Dixon was in I will never understand. I just think, honestly, that it was the belief that Dixon would rise up to the occassion as he was playing against his old team. But last night showed how desperate we are for a competent back up PG.

San Antonio got beaten by Seattle, Wizards were beaten by Milwaukee without Redd and CV, the same Milweaukee who got destroyed by the lowly 76ers last night. What does this prove? Nothing. NBA is a very tight league, and if you don't bring your best, you'll lose, regardless of the competition. And Blatche played so well in both games, that it didn't even matter that Butler was not playing.
